i notced when i timestretch my samples on the FL slicer, it sounds soo much better compared to kontakts time machines.. when i want to speed up the sample in kontakt, i get unwanted grainy artifacts that i never get with FL studios time stretch... is there an option to keep the sampls consistency while speeding up a sample in kontakt?

yep....i agree. for effect tweaking quite funny....but if you want to stretch sth and leave it as natural as possible...sounds bad. in that aspect the sampletank 2 engine is superior: stretching. but that's really the only factor. i think k2 deserves a better timestretch engine...it's the best sampler....only that aspect is a bit weak....

    i totally agree

i would like to stretch a single organ sample (not a loop) twice the length without artefacts.

but i think timestretching without artefacts isnt really possible with a grain based methode

you get better results with real resynthesis like virsyn cube does

Hm, I thought it was just me. So FL has better algorithms? I miss the algorithms on the R-8 drum machine. That thing sounded fantastic when transposed.

The Time Machine 2 module is 'real resynthesis'.

the funny thing is, a lotta people downplay FL studio as being a cheap program or whatever, and besdies my opinion that its intuitive to me and others, it has the best sounding timestretching algorithms.. all of these samplers on the market are beefed the hell up, but a lot of them lack timestretch.. if theres one sampler on the market that has it, it usually sounds bad and its missing another vital function that a sample based producer needs..

it seems like its hard to obtain the perfect ONE-in-aLL

kontakt seems to be well, but why in the heck would they not allow dragging of slice markers? what about a little cursor that moves as you play a loop file? IF YOU'RE READING THIS NI PLEASE CONSIDER WORKING WITH IMAGE LINE FOR BETTER TIMESTRETCHING BECAUSE KONTAKTS SOUND HORRIBLE..AND PLEASE IMPLEMENT A MOVING CURSOR AND DRAGGING OF SLICE MARKERS. Why would the big brother be counter productive compared to the little brother intakt? isnt the bif brother supposed to teach the lil a thing or two?

Really? I thought the effects were a bit weak too...
