Well, perhaps some sort of "lite" version.

The way I see it, this would work well for ni.

Since kore can load vst and au plugins and run within any sequencer, if everyone was using kore this would allow ni to develop for less plugin formats.

They could develop just VST and Standalone versions of their products. These would then be loaded into Kore, which would be the only NI software required to support AU, RTAS etc.

Surely this would reduce cost and complexity of their development, support issues etc?

haha. I can almost garuntee that kore will be a very hungry cash monster and that there will be no lite version.

Actually, i use pro tools on a mac

Ok, well it sounds like ni would be giving something away for nothing, but it could definently simplify their development process, so im gonna stick to my theory :)

Lets all hope your right :D and im sure OSX 86 will soon hit PC's fully anyway (legally or illegally), merging the two. I think going intel is probably apples worst decision (from a business point of view).

    Yes,
and there will be another problem: Like most other NI-products, it will be full of bugs, not work as it should, and we will never get an update.....

This has already happened. Its like 3 gig and on alot of torrent sites. Supposedly works really well. Also I've seen Windows versions for the intel macs. Why anyone would want to put windows on their mac i have no idea.
