Is Kontakt Sax and Brass the same as Kontakt 4 Library?

The title says it all. I have Kontakt 4 (but I dont have the Kontakt 3 library). If I purchase Kontakt Sax and Brass am I getting anything beyond what I already have?

I've read the manual for it and it talks about ensembles as well as some additional scripting to help with arranging. Its not clear to me if these would be accessible to me if I opened it up in Kontakt 4 or only if I use the Kore 2 Player ( I dont own Kore 2).

Any practical info from somebody who knows or owns it? I'm considering spending my holiday coupon on it.

    Thanks,
    EG

I don't know about the sunds being the same or not than in Kontakt, however, you can definitely use the arrangement features in the player beacuase all that you need to do is select a scale and a voicing, and this is done with Kore Player Knobs.

I think it's also a really good kore pack ! Sounds quite realitic, even when played with a keyboard.

Here is a not-really-finished-track I did a while ago. All the brass sounds are from Kontakt Sax & Brass and played on anh Axiom 61 keyboard.

Nice track. Maybe I'll check out Urban Arsenal also.

I think the kore pack sounds good - I just want to make sure it isn't all in my Kontakt 4 Factory Library already so I'm not buying duplicates.

After a quick check, they don't seem to be in kontakt. I might have missed them though

I have a slightly different problem ... I want to use Kontakt Sax & Brass in Cubase 5 64-bit, and now I find that there's no 64-bit version of the Kore Player! This is doubly infuriating because I have Kontakt 4, which works perfectly in 64-bits.

Sax & Brass is a great Soundpack though ....

At this point, I would buy the full Kore 2 software if it was 64 bit. The player is kind of limiting, but I like the Kore concept and most of these sound packs are real good. I'm anxiously awaiting Kore 3 (also hopefully 64 bit).

For anybody who wonders about my original question, the Sax and Brass sound pack does complement the Kontakt 4 library and is a good purchase.

I agree, in Kontakt 4, for each individual instrument in the Horns category there's the Harmonize control (as well as Chord, Scale, and Key), but in Kore, you get this with the entire ensemble, which makes things much easier if you know what you want harmonically, but don't have the orchestrational skills or the time to acquire them, or if you don't need that level of detailed control over the individual lines.

Now, if only the Kore Player were 64-bit ...
