Sound through Audio DJ 4 is terrible.

I think there's an issue with Microsoft not implementing the audio properly in the first set of USB3 drivers. It was mentioned in the forum a while back. I'm using Win8 with an older laptop with USB2 ports and apart from Traktor refusing to shut down without end-tasking it all seems ok

Without a supported Windows 8 USB 3.0 driver, using the USB 3.0 is pretty much at your own risk. Even if it's backwards compatible, there's no guarantee.

Before win8 drivers it would be nice if NI made actually working win7 drivers first :)

It's been said countless time, NI has nothing to do with it. Their card is USB 2.0 compliant. USB 3.0 is SUPPOSED to be backward compatible but depending of the HARDWARE CONTROLLER (the black chip soldered on your mother board) and IT'S OWN DRIVER, it may work or not. And this driver NI can't do anything... it's not THEIR driver... neither it is THEIR hardware controller. Like some experimented awhile back with USB 1.1 and USB 2.0

In windows 7, driver are not developed by Microsoft, However for most popular controller USB 3.0 support is native in Windows 8.

If you update from Win 7 to Win 8, you want top uninstall all USB 3.0 driver first.

I wrote some mails with tehc support. They said they are working on new drivers for Win8.

Funny thing is that in Ubuntu - Guitar Rig Kontrol works without any problem just plug-and-play. it si a pity that there is no Linux version of GR and it does not works correctly under Wine... :_(
