Oh good lord, not another one...

R6 won't be making an appearance any time soon; we've discussed this as length in many other threads.

    See this one:

    R6 at Winter NAMM?

What could they do really to improve on Reaktor 5?

If it had racing stripes, it'd be faster?

Forum members really need to stop these threads, please search first, read prior threads, then post to those if you really need too but don't post new thread, please. It will come when it does and hopefully it will work without many bugs.

Constantly posting this question will not make it come faster.:D If they do have this effect on NI then it may not be the best product out there...which it should be:D (and is in my mind).

eh.. If people didn't post these, who would NI know that people cared? It's an unfortunate truth that the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

What you're really saying is 'I'm tired of seeing these threads.', which is fair.. But. Welcome to the internet. :p

I was not trying to be rude or condescending. I just am trying to say there are enough threads on this already (and they are not filled up), I think this sort of question comes about because there was no proper search to see that it’s already been asked several times. If one believes that by making this a constant issue will motivate them seeing it as a concern for us, the community of users and ultimately their income, then keep posting to the exiting threads keep them on top so to speak or better yet, I think that posting to the ideas and requests section with serious ideas that are thought out and reasonable, this would tell NI that we want a new product with more features and capabilities, and letting them know exactly what that is. But that just an alternative, keep asking the same question if that floats the boat.

i agree, this thread concept is getting old, if not for any reason but it makes us all get excited and emotional! that said...

(WARNING: SAME OLD RESPONSE TO THIS QUESTION)
im sure we will see Reaktor 6 eventually, but they are probably very very busy. i am thankful they dont do realeases of Reaktor Ableton style, meaning a new major release every year (max). Reaktor has been going for i believe 10 years now, and historically i believe it is at least 2 years between releases. also, if you look at NI at the time of Reaktor 4's realease, then R5's release, and then now, you will see their product line has grown tremendously. while i highly doubt that, say, the Guitar Rig devs are also the Traktor devs, who are also the Reaktor software devs, i am also quite positive that alot of the Reaktor developers ARE on other product teams (like Kore). also, unfortunately, it seems that Kore has been their main focus lately, and i fear that R6 might be too Kore-centric (that is an educated guess/fear, not really backed by any truth).

dont get me wrong, the day i get my hands on R6 ill be in the same state of bliss i was in when the UPS guy dropped off R6 at my door. i think personally i am just afraid that R6 will be a dissapointment (we have all posted our views on what we expect in other threads, quickly i personally want more low level programming and scripting bits, and more time investing in making high-level building blocks out of these new lowlevel objects).

just hang tight. explore R5 some more. the UL is huge, and the potential for building your own stuff is even bigger.

    by my math,

if you hold your breath now, by the time you wake up from your coma,

reaktor 6 will be hitting the shelves.

I think that if NI did with R5 what I seem to remember them doing with R4 once, issuing an update that actually included new instruments and ensembles, we might see less of these requests for R6. I'm sure that's all most people who start these threads actually want, as I get the impression that the people who actually do the building still haven't mastered all thats possible with the Core stuff.

    Make it usable?

Reaktor is a good tool. Interface is a bit old and stale now imo. Also its not really designed to be run and automated well from a DAW. It needs controllability and predictability. Most people I talk to about Reaktor love the sounds it makes but just cant control it. Drum machines where you can mute individual sounds via automation easily etc.

Reaktor still feels like a standalone tool where you need to sample it to import the samples to make it usable within songs. Thats not right and needs fixing urgently.

Also, common across NI, but what about an UNDO?

A up date that allows better record options would be nice. Like 24, 32 bit record. sure it would not be that hard to do. surprised they have not done it all ready !

Well. Technically this is possible currently. Write the audio data into a 64bit core array, then you could write it out via OSC.

That wasn't R4; that was R5- 5.1 to be exact.
