    Yes, it is.
Its a collection of (in my opinion) the "best of the best" that reaktor has to offer. you will not be disappointed, but have a DAW that can handle higher CPU's. A couple of these machines are pretty big hogs.

Yeah, I love Metaphsical Function - it can do amazing things to your samples - you won't dissapointed.

    Personally, I love it.
    The sounds are amazing and
I think the random features and
    merge features are great.

The sounds are impressive but to be honest, I have a hard time navigating thru Krypt and Limelite.

I want to be able to use Krypt and or Limelite as a DXi plugin to record drums in real time triggering them with a MIDI keyboard controller but I don't know how. I don't want to use the sequencer built in the software.

If there is a way to create samples of each drum hit on a sample pad so I can create "my drum kit" so I can do this then I can move on with the rest of the package. (Someone please show me how)

    electro v2 are amazing !!

but if you want to have 100% of this piece of soft you'll need R5!!!

for edit theme or just to reduce cpu (a little bit ) but R5 got some kind of wonderful stuff as electro V.2.

okay it will rock your wallet but your studio too !!!!

like the advertising said : R5 create the futur of sound !!

    lol !!

Re: Can I do it without R5?

In response to your reply, I'm sure I can get more out of R5, but I would like to be able to map out a (basic) drum kit on a MIDI keyboard controller using EI2XT (Krypt or Limelite) and trigger each instrument (voice) hit on a separate key. Then I would record the drum sounds in real time using MIDI.

If I cannot do this then the software is too much trouble to get drum patterns the way I want to write them.

    ok ok !!

first i'm starting with limelite . here is the midi note for eatch part !!

    Kick : c1
    Snare : D1
    CH : F#1
    OH : A#1
    Tie : E1
    Pod : F1

don't forget to chek midi in chanel in the limelite !!!

i'm sorry for krypt but there's no way to use midi gate trigger
( because there's not midi trigger inside the structure of the instrument !! )

but maybe you can try this :

-right clic in the seq step.
    -select table draw mode.

then you can put the even trigger with your mouse.

hope it will be usefull !!

    good music see ya !!

Re: Can I do it without R5?

sorry for the late response here, but - one thing to remember is that there isnt any midi-playable, drum sampler in EIXT and there isnt supposed to be. limelite is mainly supposed to be a self-contained groovebox, and krypt a randomized, "happy-accident" style granular sample player. just about the only 2 things somewhere near your standard VST plugs are photone and cyan IMO.

electronic instruments vol 2 is definitely worth it. limelite is the sickest drum machine ever made, and MF can generate any sound your looking for.
