Seems the sonic discussion is now drifting over to the sound of filters and their characteristics... that's another topic...

Peeddrroo: "until then K153should be fine"

K153 *ISN'T* fine at all. It has this EWQLSO export bug, just like the Kompakts and the bundled Kompakts.

    Regarding my constant complaining:

It would be quite easy for NI to step in here on this forum to confirm that they will fix it. But they don't do that, do they...? Then I would have the answers right?

Am I wrong in any details here Mr Pedro - or you just feel like defending these bugs? If so, why?

i know you must be upset, and i'm not defending any bugs, but please leave some room for other topics. i mean if each thread ends up discussing EWQLSO and output config, we're not going very far... though i agree NI could give you an answer.

anyway, back on topic: i think that the sound of filters and effects is *not* another topic when you're discussing the sound engine of a sampler. as i already wrote, i didn't expect K2 to make my rough *.wav or *.aiff files sound better than in soundforge or halion... it's in the processing that the differences must be found.
and yes, i found a sound difference.

maybe you have an anti-placebo: as K2 doesn't work as you expected, you're just being negative.

Pedro, have I articulated any views that are irrelevant or not backed up by detailed data?

I have given Kontakt153 a lot of praise, and it has been in my basic arsenal of tools for a few years now. It is an excellent product in many, many ways.

What I am speaking about are specific bugs and specific limitations that I have explained cleraly in detail. I have not expressed any unspecified general negativeness about the product.

If you are trying to give my posts a "negative aura" they may be misinterpreted by NI and NI may not take the serious bugs seriously.

Do you see what I mean Pedro?

It is important to stick to basic reality facts.

    A - Fix EWQLSO bugs
    B - Fix output configuration in Kontakt2

Many users tend to find some gratification in praising a product and behaving almost submissively. A well known phenomenon - but in my view, a rather silly behaviour.

Isn't it better Pedro to apply a slightly more scientific and calm approach to the matter?

do you think that your approach is calm and scientific? i'd rather call it annoying and childish.

your views are relevant, it's just that WE HEARD THEM!
please leave some room for other topics...
if you just hack any thread with your 2 bugs, this forum is not going to improve much.
i think ppl at NI are more likely to read their support e-mails than to browse forums.

    Not sure dear Mr Pedro.

I have tried the Support "form" but it resulted in e-mails from NI where they excuse themselves for not knowing the issue and then after some emails again telling me they don't know. The person emailing me from NI though was very polite and kind.

Perhaps they *should* browse the forum?
