    Thanks

I'd like to know this, but only because I have bought a new Maschine Studio, and the one tied to my old micro is being unused now. I think the update rocks! ;)

The new step mode workflow is now crap, loved it before.

Kore VST is no longer compatible, it will freeze Maschine if it tries to load it. Almost all of my previous projects have a Kore VST plug as an active element so when I open these in Maschine 2 the project is broken.

Can't get Maschine to 'see' my previous startup templates, or projects.

If I can, I will sell this shiz and hold at 1.8 (I'm on an MK1).

In your case I can see the frustration. Sorry to hear that, hopefully the next update will help your case out, but there's no way of telling if NI wants to make Kore compatible anymore.

Hey buddy things will get better. I'm sure you will be back on NI future updates of 2.1 and so.

Thanks peeps. I'm surprised no body else is bummed on the changes to the Step Mode. Of course, the music software experience is highly subjective so enjoy!!!

    Anybody know about resale?

    What's wrong with step mode?

Previously, the right hand screen listed the the pad contents for each step and you could scroll through each step with the buttons above the display... now the right hand screen displays a rudimentary graphic of the velocity of notes in each step which is useless to me... kills my workflow. Hope this makes sense.

No worries though... I've already wiped 2.0 and rolled backed my system so no need to troubleshoot.

Getting to your original question, I would think that if you can sell/transfer other NI software, why not the same with 2.0. I'd send them and email to confirm, but with the release of the new Studio and 2.0 I'm betting it may take a bit longer for them to get back you that it normally does.

Try pressing SELECT and lock it up.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions.

@Smoovy: I hope you're right that transfer/resale is an option... Luckily I did a Time Machine backup before upgrading and installing. TBH I had to upgrade my OS to accommodate the 2.0 update and a bunch of Komplete updates as well so I was EXTRA frustrated finding out about the unfortunate changes to the Step Mode etc. Rolled back the OS and everything is solid. Can't imagine when I'll ever reinstall 2.0 now.

Thanks for the suggestion - I figured out that locking the select button was one way to approximate the previous Step Mode flow but I find it really awkward.

I must be the only dood who uses Step Mode so much!

    :)

Yes its transferable. I have sold mine.
Last week i bought the upgrade for my Maschine Mikro mk2, and liked it so much that i decided to sell my Mikro and 2.0 update, and bought the Maschine Studio. Sold the Mikro and the update to two separate buyers, and deactivated the serials.

Why not just keep the Mikro update installed on your computer and sell the disk that came with Studio? (Or did it come with a disk?)

Would that work? (That is what I'm thinking of doing)..

Maybe the serial is the only thing that is important here....

Perfect - Thanks for the info AXN! Support has not got back with me, which is totally understandable, so at least I don't have to wonder.
