Is there a 1.58 update of Spectal Delay?

 

No, the latest version's 1.57 for the standalone.
The KORE installer will install a 1.58 version of the plugin only

Now there is two installers I do have...

V1.0 from CD (original)

V1.01 Update installer, downloaded from website.

Which one shall I use to install V. 1.58?

 

I currently have the problem that the Spectral Delay Serial number seems to not be registred correctly within the plugin/standalone. Kore is complaining about this, and it says that I should open the standalone and register the serial by following the instructions... hm, but within the plugin this is not self explaining..

 

OK... here's what you do.

If you haven't installed the 1.57 update yet, copy the plugin .dll (if it's the 1.58 KORE version) to a temp location. Run the i.57 installer and reboot when it's done. Move the .dll back to your plugin folder, and copy it to the VST folder in your Spektral Delay program folder. Start KORE and rescan your folder.

If you have installed it already without moving the .dll, you'll have to reinstall your KORE plugins. If you have Kontakt and Reaktor with the latest updates, move those .dlls to a temp location- the KORE installer will overwrite them. Run the KORE DVD and choose to install the plugins only. If you've moved the newer .dlls, move them back now (once again, copy them to the VST folders in their respective program folders as well). Start KORE and rescan your folder.

If you have the 1.58 plugin and the 1.57 standalone in place, just rescan your folder.

Ok, now I have reinstalled the Kore 1.0, and then I have updated again to Kore 1.01 and the latest Kontakt 2, Reaktor 5 uprades...

Now I have a Spectral Delay 1.58 inside Nuendo as a plugin, but the standalone version is still 1.57... hmm.. a bit chaotic, but I guess that's allright for now.

Did Ozzy Osbourne also spend 2 hours a week managing his studio to just work dealing with strange .dlls ? ;->

Well scanning the Plugins folder still throws the Spectral Delay Exception.. (need to register Spectral Delay..)

 

Now I have spotted an old Spektral Delay Mono.dll, dated 5.2.2001... maybe I should remove this one..

How to upgrade from V1 to v1.57?

hi - just a quick question.... I'm trying to update/upgrade my newly purchased Spektral Delay from Ebay, registered it, found updates to v1.57, installed v1 then tried to upgrade, but the upgrader keeps telling me that there is no Spektral Delay installed? WTF? all help would be appreciated

If you didn't reboot after the initial install, try that first. Also, when you update, have the original CD in your CD drive.

If that doesn't work, I'm guessing that the 1.57 update needs to have the 1.5 update installed first, which is no longer in the update section (the shipping version nowdays is 1.5), in which case I'd contact support...
