:) nooo, sorry, this was a simple mistake. i was logged out and my browser gave me the wrong log in. after posting it was too late to change :)
    why should I post undercover ? :)

Hey Mick, I understand that good software needs time. but when I get an official email from NI where they say that the next update comes in February. It is ok to be a little bit sad :-/

I hope that all the AAX bugs will be solved in the Meantime :)

Good Luck with the next Release! I love my Maschine anyway ... also in V 2.7 ....

I hope to see an update for all controllers, not only MK3 & Jam.

By all are you including MK1's? I'm assuming that since the MK1 is no longer supported in the latest OSX there probably won't be many new features for it from now on... Most likely the focus will be on MK2's, Studio, MK3 but again, just my assumption, I could be wrong (although that doesn't happen often), don't shot the messenger though... I came in peace.

No im not including MKI, MKI is a lost case.
Even i have a mikro MKII too, NI can drop support for mikro i dont care.
My prays are for my regular MKII.

I dont have a mac so just a question.. why doesnt the mk1 work in the latest osx?.. driver issue i assume? I would hate to think that users would be left out to dry..

    What they say is:
AFAIK Maschine controllers need drivers and class-compliant is an old standard that works in the latest OS's the same way it always did, so I'm not sure why they mention it in the article. I think they wrote it like that for self-protection against criticism from users using older hardware.

The truth seems to be that NI doesn't want to keep developing drivers for old hardware, it's understandable since MK1's are almost a decade old and have been supported all this time, but the statement could be a bit more clear. Ntula reported that if a user upgrades to the latest OS the MK1 works because the driver was previously installed but on a fresh OS it doesn't ... (Thread here)

This leads me to believe further development will most likely have a priority order from newest to oldest controllers, which makes perfect sense to me, like so: #1=MK3, #2=Studio, #3=MK2, #4MK2 Micro. Not sure where Jam would fit on this list since I don't own one and don't pay attention to the updates it got so I can't really have an educated assumption.

i have an mk1. what will i experience when the driver is "no longer supported?" will i be able to run a version of the driver that does support the mk1? or will it become a brick immediately?

    Probably it won't brake.
There are probably only functions you gonna mis.
    That's probably the only thing.

    Best regards.

MK1 and MK2 are really close, MK2 has no extra features regarding to MK1, i don't see any reason that an improvment on MK2 will not be available to MK1.

    I see a reason: $$

We don't actually phisically buy computer related hardware but pay for the licence to use them just like software. Couple years later they are dead even in perfect condition.
I understand that perfectly when i had to throw to junk my perfectly working Digi 001.
That is the main reason people prefer "real hardware" imo.

Ask yourself why NI would drop Mac but not Windows for MK1, then put on your logic goggles.

I'm a bit confused. On February 13th I received a newsletter for Native Instruments stating the following:

"As fewer and fewer of our customers run 32-bit MASCHINE, we realized we needed to focus our resources to bring updates to MASCHINE faster. With that in mind, starting with the next version of the MASCHINE software coming in February, we’ll no longer provide a 32-bit version of MASCHINE."

Why send a newsletter with information the only a week later is dismissed by NI on this forum? It's a bit confusing and seems a little unprofessional. It's only by chance the I found the information on this forum - wouldn't it be a good idea to send a new newsletter with a correction of the original information?

I've been checking a few topics here, my feeling is there's a lot of negative energy here and there. Native team is kind enough to update us with what they're cooking, their policy is slightly unusual on that matter as they talk about new features long before they're ready. And sure they're late on their promise. Often. But why wasting time complaining on this forum? If it's not released it means it's not ready. My guess is the coding team is smaller than most of us think and they probably work very hard on a number of simultaneous projects. Let's just bet it will be worth the wait!

As for NI droppin 32bit, I'm indeed very surprised they didn't do that before. Not having to think coding for both 32bit AND 64bit could actually lighten the team workload and accelerate the updates frequency. Dropping 32bit could be a huge amount of work by itself.

Be patient guys, instead of complaining under different aliases, go produce some music.

    Everything you say makes sense.

Then realise people have been waiting, what? 3 years or more for failed promises and bug fixes? There's stuff even being discussed here on this thread, I suspect you aren't aware of it.

Check your post count (9) with others I suggest, perhaps that can form an equation on how disgruntled somebody is.

And you say NI is kind enough to update is, but NI has remained completely silent about many bugs that need fixing...It eventually said it would do some feature requests everybody was gagging for and then did an about turn.

Like I said before I'm very happy with 32 bit being dropped, and I don't care about short term delayed updates I want results with bug fixes and what was promised... should have been done YEARS ago.

You'd both have similar post counts if you'd stop posting gif's
So by your logic the amount of post someone has contributed to this forum equals how disgruntled they are, what about all the people with no internet?

By that logic, no one should even be in this forum then. Posts that actually have to do with producing music here is few and far between. Or the same questions that have been asked over and over or could be solved by reading the manual. It's a forum. No different than any other for that matter.
