Is there a way to disable waveforms in traktor pro?

Hey, I'm wondering if there is a way to disable the waveforms in Traktor Pro. Most of the time I end up just looking at the waveforms to visually see where i want to cue or see where a breakdown starts rather than using my ear. I'd like to disable the waveforms for "ear training" purposes and to better learn my tracks. Is there a way to do this?

I don't think there is a way to do as this would defeat the whole purpose of traktor

make a playlist, memorize tracks, then minimize traktor window & start practice

Open two notepad or whatever windows, set them on-top, drag over waveform or cut out a Post-It and stick it on the screen ;)

Or it depends on how much details you want on the deck. Double click on the track name, and choose the amount of detail (similar to browser mode).

Use the zoom in or out. if you zoom in all the way. its like looking at a pulse rate monitor not to much info to keep you checking back. If you zoom all the way out the track is more like a stripe view. keep the waveform as the grey (xray?) and hide beatgrid.

But really traktor is not something I think you will get any better results training your ears(so to speak)
So many will say use your ears. Well I ask can your ears see the future?

That being said I wont knock what you are trying and may give it a try myself.

I am wondering the same thing.

I am downgrading from CDJs at home to a traktor based setup. I will be using CDJs live without a laptop (I like to jam with the crowd not look at my lappy)

Basically my only reason for wanting traktor based setup is because Im ****ing SICK of burning CDs constantly. Especially just to test up my own tracks. How tedious, not only do I have to bounce the tack, I have to burn it and swap input sources. Back to ableton, fix up the mixdown a bit.. rinse, repeat.

If you use CDJs with HID you can actually close the laptop lid (after disabling sleep) and continue to mix through Traktor. All the info you need comes up on the CDJ screens.
