Is this a possible map?

I was wondering if this is possible.
I want to be able to press down the shift button and then use dial usually used for looping to search through the song, like the move button on s2-s3-s4 controllers.

Is this possible, and to keep all other functions on the controller the same?

As you can tell i am new this so any help would be appreciated.

 

Please explain your question about what you want to achive a little bit more. Do you want to map it to a F1? And which other functions that need to be kept are being used on the F1? And to which knobs, buttons and faders are being used? Also is there a mapping already active on the F1?

 

Sorry my bad, i want to have the function on my X1 MK2. I just realised i posted in the wrong section of the forum.

I basically want to be able to scroll through the song using one of the knobs on the X1 while holding down for say the shift button for example.
On the the S2 controller my friend has i find the move function really useful and i was wondering if i could replicate it on the X1.

I understand i can use the touch strip but i find using one of the knobs to be much easier and faster.

I want to keep all other functions of the controller the same just add this one function as an extra if possible.

You need to map a modifier (for example M1=1 with hold function) to the shift button. Then map the encoder (or knob) you want to use for scrolling with the condition M1=1 and the scroll command.
As I do not own a X1 I'm not able to check if everything will work.
