would love to have an isolator effect like the Bozak's & E&S units.. maybe have the option to route this to the eq's as I know a lot of traditional house djs would LOVE this feature

also the possibility to customise the EQ frequencies yourself for more advanced users

Do you have an audio example for this effect?

I would also love an Isolator on the Master Outs in Traktor. Analogue versions are SO expensive, that this is the only way I am ever likely to play with one.

    Found some examples on Youtube:

If I understand it right, it's just an 3 band eq for the master, isn't it?.
You can achieve this very easily with Traktor Mapping.

All you need is a modifier and mapping highs, mids and lows for each channel to a button on your mixer, e.g.

    Modifier 1 = 1
    Hi A, Hi B, Hi C, Hi D = Knob 1
    Mid A, Mid B, Mid C, Mid D = Knob 2
    Low A, Low B, Low C, Low D = Knob 3

This will work exactly like in the video.

If you own Maschine I can add it to my mapping and upload it.

Yes and no. An Isolator has different filter and gain properties to a normal channel EQ. This article from DJ Tech Tools is worth a read; http://www.djtechtools.com/2011/12/11/an-introduction-to-mixing-with-dj-isolator-mixers/

"You might imagine that DJing with an isolator is similar to DJing with a DJ EQ. You would be fairly correct in that assumption. Yet, isolators afford more control over the music. When you roll off the bass on an isolator it takes out much more of the bass frequencies. For example, the E&S X3004 gives you control of everything from 10-300 Hz. Contrast this with the Pioneer’s DJM 800 bass EQ (10-100 Hz) and you get an idea of the difference in frequency range between built-in EQ and a dedicated isolator."

Thanks for the mapping suggestion. I had thought of that, and my next move will be to play around with the different types of EQs in Traktor to see which one has the properties most similar to an Isolator. I guess the down side of this is that you may not want these properties for your standard channel EQ as well, hence why a dedicated Isolator effect over the masters would be pretty cool.

I don't know the exact range of the Traktor EQs but I'm pretty sure the low eq cuts more than 100hz. It set up the mapping and it works pretty well.

Isolators work differently. An EQ creates a dip in the band, while an isolator removes the entire band. Also, when you drop out a band with an isolator, it usually also affects the other frequency bands. For instance, when you drop the bass frequencies the highs start getting gritty. It's a very different sound in practice.

I'd LOVE to see an isolator effect.
