Just downloaded the new release, trying to install, the installer give a message:

    Failure

    No previous installation found.

My Kore2 version 2.0.4 is running fine so I don't understand this error...

    Anyone had the same experience?

Did you move anything in earlier installations? Or, did you have the controller plugged in? If you had the controller plugged in, when the driver's stopped and uninstalled, the app goes with it.

Uninstall and run the DVD installer. Then, update to 2.1. Make sure you install the standalone as well as the plugin versions.

Anyone got a solution for this error message:

Cannot proceed with this update because the stored installation directory of the application is not valid... WTF? 2.04 works fine for me as well, except for having to manually load and find most of the Kore presets after putting the folder in the data base.

Having the same problem on Leopard, and I'm pretty goddam well sure I haven't touched my original Kore 2 installation. Why is NI stuff so problematic with OS X?

    ?

It sounds to me like you never ran or installed the standalone. You must install and run the standalone before trying to use the plugin. There's no reason why you need to name the factory content folders in your database paths otherwise.

As I told the previous poster, reinstall.

I wouldn't be able to start Applications/Kore 2/Kore2 and play with it then, right? But I can... That's the standalone, right?

Similar issue here on Leopard 10.5.7..

'Cannot proceed with this update, because the application cannot be found in the stored installation directory.

If you have manually renamed or moved the application, move it back to its original location, then start this update installer again. Alternatively, use the original full installer to reinstall before using this update installer.'

No changes have been made to application or library locations.. Tried moving Kore 2 app up one level from Kore 2 folder in applications folder but same message..

If I re-install from the original disk will I loose any new patches or updates I have made?

    Thanks

    Hi ew

Can't remember if controller was plugged in? Are you saying that if it was plugged in when we originally installed Kore that the app cannot open without the controller being connected? My standalone and plugin 2.04 can both run with or without the controller and the app is always visible in the applications folder..

    Thanks :)

So re-installed kore 2 from disk on other hard drive and was able to install update.

Everything is in the same position as before and Kore controller was connected throughout process. I had the Kore 2 application folder open and watched the update write over Kore 2.0.4 when reinstalling from CD and then again with the update..

The disk does NOT give the option to install sounds or not so not touching this on main audio drive until Time Machine has done a full backup incase original install from CD wipes years of work?

A 2.1.010 (current version is 2.1.09 after update) with a fix for this issue would be nice as I'm confident its not a user error...

    Thanks

    Hi there,

Same issue here. I have the stand alone application installed and haven't move the original installation location. Running on Mac Pro Dual Quad - OSX 10.5.7. Similar problem with FM 1.0.4 update.

Any other suggestions besides re-installation would be appreciated.

It looks as if you're all 10.5.7, right? Could one of you put in a support request so it gets logged?

I "solved" the issue by manually unpacking and installing all the software... but there is definitely a flaw in the installer! I'm also running Mac OS X 10.5.7 btw... I have send a support request...

Not true at all, I've only ever ran Kore2 in stand alone mode, and I'm still running OSX10.4.11. I'll try to reinstall when I get a chance.

I'm having the same issue with both Kore update, and the FM8 1.04 update. Running 10.5.8 on a MacPro

I had the same problem on my new Macbook Pro after changing my hard drive name. I changed it back to "Macintosh HD" and it solved the issue.

    I hope it helps!

Here it is 2010 with 2.1.1 and indeed, you solved my problem, so yes it did help! I knew I hadn't moved the location but apparently I did change my HD name AFTER I originally installed Kore and had forgotten...big thanks ;-)

Where should KorePlayer be? I cannot find it in a search, and is not in my NI folder.
If I download the Kore Player Demo, will this be the full installation I need?

All apps in Komplete 6 work fine except

Guitar Rig 4.0.8 (updated from 4.0.7) does not start.
In searching the NI forums I read about needing Kore Player 2.1.1

    KorePlayer2.1.1
Cannot proceed with this update, because the stored installation directory of the application is not valid.

moved or renamed application? -no, but Where should it be?
Alternatively, use the original full installer to reinstall.

I should have 2.1.0 installed already
