A few months ago I made a thread just like this with the same problems. The only buttons that work on my Maschine MK3 are the pads and a few other buttons. Everything else, i.e. the keyboard/chords/step modes, will not respond when I touch them. At first, I thought my issue was because my laptop had an i3 processor when the Maschine requires that the laptop has at least an i5 processor. This is strange because for a year, my Maschine worked until July 2019. So, I just recently got a new laptop with an i7 processor. The Maschine STILL has this same issue. I tried reinstalling the driver, reinstalling the Maschine 2 software a few times, and reinstalling the controller editor (the controller editor would refuse to reinstall because Native Access insisted that the software was up to date). Nothing worked. However, one issue that I must point out is that may have reinstalled the driver/unistalled the driver while my controller was plugged in. If no one can help me on this thread, I will take the issue up with NI. I DO have a warranty.

Do these buttons respond at all (in other words: are you sure it's not a hardware failure)?

Switch Maschine to MIDI mode (using shift-channel) and then try to press the buttons. Does the light toggle? If not then that probably indicates a hardware issue. Also useful to check: fire up a random daw and see if it somehow detects the keypresses. This could be tricky, depending on your daw, because you probably need to configure it so it'll pick up Maschine as a regular midi controller. I just tested this with Live and it detects incoming MIDI whenever I click those buttons (I can also use them to 'MIDI map' parameters).

    Hope this can help somehow.

Some buttons do work like the top white buttons, the channel/midi mode, and the pads. Most buttons, including the encoder, don't work. I also tried running the program as admin and it still won't work. There's a chance that the firmware has been corrupted but I don't know for sure.

I would get in touch with Support about this as the behavior indicates Hardware failure of some sort... have you tried updating the firmware? You can find that in “Drivers and other files” in the support area.

    Peace,

It's already up to date and I even reinstalled the driver.
