Issues with M-Audio Delta interfaces in OSX?

This is just an open request for comments from any R4 users running OSX with an M-Audio Delta audio interface describing any issues they have with this setup. Someone over at osxaudio.com said that R4 wouldn't launch at all, and I've had someone else tell me that Vokator will not launch standalone on their machine with a Delta44.

I sure hope this issue is addressed, seeing as how I've got a Delta66 attached to my desktop machine...

 

Hi Logickal,

the Reaktor developers fixed this problem today as well as a similar problem with the Emi interface. This fix will be contained in the downloadable update next week. Sorry for any inconveniences.

wieso funktioniert der Standalone-Betrieb nicht, wenn ich die Audio-Karte (AP 24/96) gar nicht benutze; ich habe als Output Build-In-audio-contoller gewählt. Dann müsste doch der Standalone-Betrieb funktionieren?

i think there are some german user; normally i translate my questions into english; but sometimes i wish to ask in my native language because i want to speak about my favorite program and problems directly to other people in the same language; i am reading often english forums and i wish i could speak it in a better way; often i say nothing because i couldn't find the right words; but i have the same problems as you and i want help too.
You see on another thread that i tried to show my problems with R4 in english and in german. The german part is much longer!
In future if i want help to special problems and it would be difficult (erklären?) in english i will make a short translation and a longer discription in german.
So please be not angry about me.

Don't worry

I like seeing and hearing different languages. Most of my favorite software is from Germany and my favorite techno producers are too. If I pick up a bit of German here, it would help for my next trip to Europe.

Hello Herw,

to reply to your question that Reaktor even crashes when you have not set any audio driver: Reaktor scans all available drivers during every start. The problem was that one of the M-audio drivers only contained audio inputs which is a rather rare case which our software interface did not manage correctly. So, this problem should be really fixed with the update.

Problem Still there!(OSX)

Hi

I think the problem is still there and it may not be the delta audio card.
Basically Reaktor 4 does not even open it just bobs on the dock for a couple of seconds.
I have tried various settings for the delta audio card(Delta AudioPhile 24/96) none of which make a difference and also just setting it to the generic mac soundcard

Not sure what the problem is.

My machine specs

Dual 1.25 G4
2GB Ram
OSX 10.2.6
Reaktor 4.01

I have the same "R4 dnoesn t launch" problem.I can autorise but not use the soft.... grrr

i try to install it on 2 station :
Dual G4 1,25 Ghz --OS 9.2.2-- Pulsar II + audio Card --Midi 2-2 USb midiman interface .
Waves 4.0 installed (with iLook Soft autorisation http://www.paceap.com )

Hi All,

My set up is a G4 867 Mhz 640 RAM, 10.2.3
I have a Midi man Omni I/O box and Delta 66 card, plus a Midiman 4x4 midisport.
(I guess I bought the wrong stuff!)
I've updated the latest M-audio drivers.

Anyway, my R4 won't launch either. I guess we have to wait next week to get software that actually works. It really sucks that my Reaktor 3 no longer works (?!)

Considering how many people use M-audio products, maybe NI can more thoroughly test their new software on M-audio products, instead of having it's customers forcibly become its beta testers.

Same problem for me.M-audio Delta.G4/OSX.Cubase SX.I can open Reaktor as a VST in Cubase SX but if I close SX,launch again with same song it crashes.
Reaktor won't even launch standalone but that's another story.

 

Bug Report Question for Marius

Marius, I have sent in a few bug reports since the 15th and just want to know if you need us to send them in. I go through the support link and follow the directions. I attach my crash logs in the emails as they are quite specific about what's happening.

Would you prefer we continue sending formal bug reports and are the crash logs from OS 10.2.x helping developers at all?

 

Is there a date set for this update?

I almost returned it today to the vendor who said NI approved a refund if I wanted it.

But if is really going to work with my Delta card, then I will wait.

I think I figured it out.

The update yoy were referring to has come and gone on the 15th, right? And it was for Reaktor 4, but not for Session, Right?

And then on Friday, the 16, a tech support person basically told me not to wait for a Session update, but to go ahead and return it.

Does anybody know differently?

for MacOS X users there is now available the promised update 4.0.1.006 which fixes problems with the M-Audio cards. You find the update here:

Please let me know if the reported M-audio problems are finally solved with this version.

i have it downloaded at 7:05pm and installed. It is version R4.0.1.005 (!). No succes: i can open R4 only as VST in CUBASE SX but not as standalone.

It works for me! The first time I launched the App. I was able to fix my audio card settings but right after I pressed ok on the settings, I got an 'unexpectedly quit' error.. but I've opened it up a few times after that and it seems to be working great.. yay!!

R4 don t launch . same problem that 4.01.005

I reapeat an important thing : I haven t got a M-Audio Delta (only a midisport 2x2... for audio i use creamwarePulsarII ) and i have this problem too !!!
i tried it on 2 machine and 3 system (OS9.2.2or X.2.6 ) ...it is the same bug everywhere ....are you sure about my (our) serial number(s) ?
