would an itanium processor be efficient with reaktor considering its large cache size?

Itanium is a 64 bit processor. The operating system is responsible of taking advantage of that cache. And Reaktor would need to be rewriten and recompiled on 64 bit compilers. Think what was the difference between the 16 and 32 bit systems.

An Itanium would be a huge waste of money for a Reaktor system, even if it could run it.
