Does anyone know of a fix for this? 80% of my iTunes library suddenly has exclamation marks. This means a load of tracks in Traktor need relocating. This isn't so bad as it actually can be done from the collection but not from the iTunes tab. In fact - I've no idea how I can relink the tracks back.

The only option I can figure out is to re-import my tracks into the collection and then relocate the tracks. The problem here is it is only a temporary fix and the tracks in iTunes are still unlinked and so this relocating has to be done each and everytime.

    Help!

    Hey,

what about using a program like TuneInstructor (mac) to search and replace the exclamation marks in your iTunes library?

Maybe my post above wasn't clear - the exclamation marks are in Traktor. All the tracks play fine in iTunes - they're not missing. It's just that Traktor thinks they are.

Anyways - I've managed to solve the issue. By literally adding a new track into my iTunes library Traktor is now happy again. So it would seem that maybe Traktor was having a problem with the iTunes Library XML file?

That's my only guess. So if anyone else has this problem - try making a small change in iTunes and retry.

I think the iTunes / Traktor integration needs seriously looking at however. Having to quit to resync tracks & playlists is a real pain, as well as this quirk.

I'm having an iTunes issue in that my Traktor will not load my iTunes playlists. I hit the iTunes icon and it gets stuck on "(loading)". i went into iTunes and deleted some playlists and added a couple more and Traktor still won't open the iTunes folders.. Any ideas?

Sorry, not sure how to fix that. My library loads (eventually after about 30 seconds)... maybe try adding / removing some tracks and trying again.

Sounds like an issue for NI to be honest.

Did you check the path to the iTunes-library in the Traktor settings?

unfortunately, I'm having a similar problem. I made some changes to a cople of itunes playlists (added some tracks, removed some, renamed/edited some, etc.), and now when i open up the itunes playlists in traktor (using the icon), about half of the tracks are marked as missing (with "!"). I also physically moved tracks from one directory to another in the file system (EDIT: please note that this is on a Mac and is referring to Traktor 3.4, and I know this is a Pro thread but it seemed applicable. sorry. :p ).

Is Traktor caching any of that data, and if so, is there a way to force Traktor to reload the library?

Or is iTunes 8 messing with its playlists so that it's confusing Traktor (for instance only recording the ORIGINAL location of the files and not updating the paths when they get moved)?

    Just thinking out loud here...

    Obrigado! ;)

    [EDIT]

hmmm.... looks like it was iTunes' (or OS X's) fault this time. turns out iTunes thought they were missing too. ;)

...so after some messing around with itunes file & information they both seem to be in sync now (for the time being).
