iTunes in Traktor Won't Update Properly

I seem to have a problem with my iTunes library in Traktor. It won't update unless I manually update it myself. I have to export a new iTunes Music Library.xml file every time in order for Traktor to update it, but when I make changes in iTunes nothing changes in Traktor unless I make a new xml file and manually replace the file in my folders to "update" it again.

Is it normal that iTunes playlist in Traktor does NOT get updated in real time when I make changes in iTunes, or is something wrong?

The iTunes library that shows up is old, and is not the new one that I export from iTunes.

I reinstalled iTunes too, did nothing. The exact same old iTunes playlist comes up in Traktor.

I have the same problem suddenly with iTunes 10.6.1.
Before with version 2.6 and same iTunes, at least restarting iTunes and Traktor would make it acknowledge new playlists and changes to them.

As it stands, nothing helps me making Traktor acknowledge my at the moment very small iTunes library..

I had great problems before with the older version of Traktor opening some old iTunes lib I couldn't figure out where it was. I'm not going trough that again. This is unacceptable and it DID work initially.

Please make sure that the file path pointing to your iTunes lib is pointing to the correct place.

While that may be a good idea, this is issue is not about multiple iTunes libraries but about the one at the standard path. Your answer indicates there must be another library or a ghost library at the wrong path. There isn't.

It's as if Traktor is reading the an old stale cache or the library backup instead of the new updated cache data or the actual Library file that iTunes peruses.

during the times, the itunes default path or name to the library changed several times. so it would make sense doublechecking this.

This Knowledge base solution worked: MY ITUNES LIBRARY DOES NOT UPDATE IN TRAKTOR

Note that of course this was already set in the preferences —*My problem occurred suddenly without changes to the iTunes app—*but redoing it possibly fixed a blurb somewhere. They happen, like for instance when Traktor crash, which is seldom.

    Hi.
Had the same problem, it was pointing at the wrong XML file.
When that was corrected everything was just fine.
    Thanx for the help guys.
