I'm using Traktor 3. I have it running on an old powerbook who's CD drive is toast. I'm currently importing a bunch of cd's into my other computer using ITunes. I'd like to add bpm information here while I'm importing, since I'm listening anyway. I then plan to transfer this newly imported stuff over to the other machine and then into the Traktor collection.

My question is, if I add BPM information right now in itunes, will Traktor overwrite, or otherwise hose this information once the tracks are analyzed in Traktor? I've found that I can't trust Traktor's BPM detection so I prefer to bpm everything myself. I just only want to do it once!

    Thanks!

Well I went ahead and tested it. The answer is NO, if the BPM is present in the tags, then Traktor won't overwrite it with it's own info.
