Haven't seen this new instrument mentioned here. Iv'e been playing with the demo and watching some videos & all I can say is WOW.

It's bringing a whole new perspective to sampling for me, especially my collection of found sounds laying around on my laptop. So much fun, especially trying to get that whole Eskmo / Amon Tobin spectral morphing vibe.

It's on offer at the moment, cheapest for us UK guys is at DV247 at £99 till May the 5th I think:

Check out a short video here:

Soon as I get some money i'm getting this! It's CPU heavy in Maschine. Iris standalone is fine, but we all know the whole single core drawback that Maschine currently suffers. I guess we can resample for now until it's multicore.

Anyone have it already? I only just heard of it but personally I can see it being a great addition to my setup.

I watched the video last night. Looked interesting. I liked how you could have multiple samples running at once.

I downloaded the demo and it kept me up all night! It's very intuitive and fun to use. In just a couple hours I had created a whole lot of new patches in IRIS from all sorts of old samples on my computer.

I put together a file with examples. I've included the original sample before each new IRIS patch that I created. Enjoy!

That's awesome man, thanks for sharing. Had another play today with some rain, fire & strings i sampled from a movie, threw it all together and started messing with it.

It's just way too fun. When my demo expires i'm getting this. When I don't have so much uni work to do i'll get some stuff uploaded.

Even just taking a square wave in the 'sub' section and drawing in some frequencies you can get some really nice glitchy result that would take so much automation and filtering etc to do manually.

I really like the effects on it too, the ADSR for each sample, the looping options.

Seriously this is the most exciting music tool i've used since I first got my Maschine, it's ridiculous.

Just bought it with the introductory offer...
Dragged and dropped an Aretha Franklin vocal into Iris... played a Minor 7th chord... nearly cried.... seriously.....

(from a deep house/techno DJ and producer) - This thing has the potential to actually refresh the entire deep house genre..... I do not say this lightly lol

    Enjoying this. :)

Btw, Groove3 have a 5-day $5 special going (you just need to cancel before the 5 days are up) and there's a new isis tutorial there.
