    Hi!

I'd like to play several jingles during my DJ show. For normal songs I use Tracktor, so I need a software to shoot sound fx at same time, ideally started by hot keys. Does anybody know sth. like that?

    Thanx!

Try 4 Deck mode if you normally run only 2. Load your Jingles Track into deck 4, Set it up with Locked Loop cues and about 20 seconds between Jingles, then play to your hearts content. Self contained and free with Traktor!

Unfortunately, Traktor can't do that. A workaround is to put all your jingles in a single file and select them via cue point. Very clunky, though.

Edit: Phil beat me to it. But I maintain the "clunky" verdict.

Or you could spend $499.00 for Ableton Live load your jingles into slots and play them as needed. $499.00 or clunky? How much money are you willing to part with to solve the problem? ;) :D

Or you can start bothering NI support with that request. And hope enough jingle-playing people do the same. Maybe it will even get implemented. Do you want to hold your breath?

What about having the option to replace deck 4 with a 16 slot sampler / Loop player?

If it's an option, why not make the 16 slot player/sampler available in *any* deck?

    What about 4 optional 16 slot video-samplers? ;-)

Having just a simple sample player in deck 4 for a stack of jingles would absolutely be perfect!

Now that we kicked the brains of the NI engineers, I'm dying to get the upcoming updates.... ;)

Fine. BUT: What can I do until then? Any ideas?

Welllllll, ok..... 499,00 $ is a little too much for just starting some samples.

Till today I use a Denon MD2000 MiniDisc player with hotkeys to start tracks on MiniDisc. Let me tell - it's exhausting to prepare MiniDiscs with samples you'd like to play at night. And it's even more exhausting to merge tracks, prepare with cue points and write lists for your cue points, when you create new jingels for every gig.

So I just thought, it might exist a little software, that let's you just load a couple of sound files and start them via keyboard....
