    On S4 if you set your jog mode to FX, load button will enable FX mode and S4 jog wheels will control 3rd FX knob. Releasing the jog wheel puts knob to previous position.

    I've mapped my S4 MIDI feature in Traktor so I can manipulate all FX knobs with jog wheel. Also touching on jog wheel turns the effect on and releasing it turns it off. But in MIDI mode, you can't make the knobs to come to previous position before jog touch just by releasing jog wheel. Also I don't want to use my S4 on MIDI mode for whole set.

    So my idea is this: on S4 while jog mode is set to FX mode;

    Turning on the FX on jog touch and turning it off on release. In chain mode this should turn all 3 FXes. And changing nothing else.

    Thanks for your time.

    User mappings are not exactly what I want.

    User mapping an S4 on HID mode removes all the beauties (ie: loop size indicators) of native mode. In HID mode S4 is rock solid integrated to Traktor and I yet to see a user map to come that level. I've tried best of them and all user maps are designed to best fit designers DJing style as you expect. You could say I can do one for my style but as I said, I don't want to loose that perfect integration.

    Also I've remapped my S4, too. Just to fit my needs. Also I did it in MIDI mode, not HID mode. So with this trick, it's like having 2 S4s for me. To make complicated FX chains I switch to MIDI mode real time. After using complicated FX, I change to HID mode to get my perfect integration. Although it is a little bit quirky to set up, if you can set it up right you can map the whole S4 unit twice for Traktor and change the layout real time. I use native mapping on HID mode and user mapping on MIDI mode.

    BUT:
    Whatever you do to map your controller, mapping settings in Traktor does not let you save a controls value. You can map bunch of macros, of course, but setting it to predefined value is not what I'm talking about. As you all know, in Jog Mode: FX configuration you can control 3rd knobs value with S4's 3rd knob of subject FX unit and after manipulating it with jog wheel it's value will be set whatever it is before jog manipulation started. As you can actively control knobs "pre" value by S4's dedicated knob control, it is not a predefined/hardcoded value. It's not possible to get to that level of integration with user mapping. One can say; storing knobs value as FX's default value can create same effect on usage but this way you would be continuously changing FX's default values which will destroy precisely prepared default values.

    So we can't user map to achieve same effect of that integration but we can turn on a FX via jog touch by user mapping. Because of this I think binding FX uni on/off to jog touch on/off would create both a perfect integration and feature set. And I think this is how most people would like to use their jog wheel FX mode in the first place after watching Ean Golden's S4 and S2 videos.

    I wrote this long cause I think I owe an explanation to this community. But as I suggested this feature, today, Native Instruments gave some information about upcoming Traktor version 2.6. New version includes Macro Effects and Flux Mode which can make this thread completely pointless.
