    my 2 cents:

i think that the Reaktor 5 Library was/is far too concerned with Reaktor used as a standalone application. people still have problems syncing Reaktor Ensembles that use sequencers in the DAW of choice. the 5.1.5 update does improve things (for me as a Mac user), as i can now use Massive, Splitter 1.2 (etc) in hosts such as Live or Logic and they now reset. but there are still problems with the Song Pos module

anyway, my main point is that the R5 Library should have been geared to people who want to use Reaktor as a plug-in. 3 years on and this favouritism towards standalone mode, really is a problem.

for my music, this is not a worry, but as you say, most people want to use Reaktor as a plug-in.

Maybe I've got it all wrong, but trying to fit your request to the NI strategy, isn't what you want to do to sell/share for free "Kore packs" to be used by the free Kore Player? The users won't get the full GUI but still..... it's a way of sharing your work to others that hasn't/will never buy Reaktor?

What would be the consequence if you could save ensembles as VST and somebody saved & shared the whole UL? Would Reaktor be a dead product or would it be vitalized? I'm not sure....

    If some one hasn't already.

    Kore player, lol

I'll be honest I don't care if anyone else but me can use the exports, its a need for myself as well. But if it was limited to me that is a rather cheap and lame move.

Hurt UL no. Please read the above post #12 again this carefully don't gloss! There is a system of protection there.

and yes, the used as plugin point needs to be improved, sorry but stand alone mode is not as powerful as something like Live and it can never be....so Reaktor needs to actually work as a plugin.

This would be a fully functional plugin not tied to Kore player or any other silly invention by NI.

Biggest point I want to make:

I in no manner or fashion want to hurt the great resource of Reaktor. I want to extend Reaktor, but the ability to edit and customize instruments should always remain the exclusive right of the official owner of Reaktor. I dreamt this up as I did in order to prevent our instruments from being opened in non-legit copies. One has to go through the service center if they download an exported plugin to open the instrument in Reaktor (but since this will be a trouble for the owners) there would be the shortcut method for us, owners, that have a password and access to the UL. We can just DL the instrument as we always have.

For example, you’re wonderful Synth-In-A-Case. Its structure would not be accessible unless they are owners of Reaktor. You would be able to export the instrument for people to use if that's you’re your desire, however, they would not be able to open its structure as it would be a plugin.

So with that said again, let me address another problem as I am sure this will come up with such an instrument. You have mentioned in other threads you have seen this instrument sold in packages and you are not receiving profit on this nor have you authorized the sale of this instrument. This is the big problem that I am still thinking about, but still the fact is they already doing it and it’s not even a plugin. They are must also be giving away Reaktor in those packages as well. This will put a dent in that to some degree however it would also open the door for thieves, but the door is already wide open and they have so little moral conviction they will do it anyway! There is no way to stop them. Making the program more difficult and limited for us is not a good protection scheme, however I think I have a good compromise on this issue in my thinking with the above suggestion in post #12.

Is what I am trying to say and suggest NI do make sense? Is there still concerns on the part of the forum?

I realize its a bit of fantasy as it is most likely not going to be ignored by NI. I do want to make my point anyway and carry it out to completion in a well planned and intelligent manner.

Only one way to find out! Yet I believe it would vitalize it for many people in terms of use, direction of application, and meaningful place in the music world. My webpage is convincing me of this. My SM plug is being downloaded everyday. Is that hurting me at all or Outism. I don't think it is. They are in business still! Is it hurt MAX/MSP no I don't think so...the memeber here are going there!~

Dont worry I don't have a big head because my webpage has an int bang. I am looking to the future of this product. Let me say this. That int bang floored me as far as what I believed was going to be the case. The SM plug although I really use it and I really do like it and I really spent a great deal of time on it it was a lure to the Reaktor page where the main focus of my work has been. But no one is interested in the Reaktor page because the only people going there are you guys. Does that start to spell out the relevance of Reaktor. Even with the multiple posts and KVR there is still no interest. Doctor, "what is Reaktor's vital signs?"

OK moving on. I say that people are not have interest in Reaktor. Well I have been searching all my referrers and googling myself like crazy to find where the Reaktor stuff is mentioned if at all. I have only found one that site that is mentioning my Reaktor ensembles. Only one. Go ahead try it yourself.

    ;)

Imagine if Reaktor was allowing me to export to a plugin format that did not require others to own Reaktor. Besides the attention that I would get :S which is not really of a concern for me, I am finding it a bit annoying (to the point that I will remove my name for the website). Imagine what kind of PR that is for NI. I didn't count how many sites I am on for the SM plug but it was certianly more then one. Since it took me an hour to find this.

But Let me again say this is int bang. When I have more stuff release and I find this is the same response (fingers crossed) and if I find the Reaktion to Reaktor is the same, I believe I will have more ground to stand on. And I am well aware of the fact that even with these mentions it is still only marginal at best at this time, but it is still something that NI needs to consider. If you all had this power there would be much more attention and interest in Reaktor wouldn't be so marginal.

BTW I am sorry this all sounds like an attack but this is my manner of expression. I am not a dipolmat. I believe it is best to be very direct and very upfront.

we need to get beyond this exclusive view of Reaktor. My idea here does this while preserving the best and most important part for us, I am not that generous.

what is exclusive about the UL?

i upload there because it is for registered owners of Reaktor.i don't like the idea of non-registered users, using my uploads.

I am now convinced that is why Reaktor will die if it has not already if that is the only way it can operate. I have changed my mind as I would have agreed with you a month ago and was very active in protesting this very idea that I am now trying to promote in the forum. Reality forces one to reconsider false beliefs and make adjustments that make sense to that reality, not just in theory but concrete and effective changes.

Non-reg people will only get a plugins at best. The actual structure like we have now will only be for the UL. Will they crack that? Yes of course. I can go to waraz right now and download a cracked version of Reaktor and find ens all over the place and I am sure to could get my hands on UL stuff as well. Hum I already know it can be done, I have just given up worrying about it.

Its just outdated now Phil. However, you wouldn't have to export the instrument to a plugin for anyone but you.

yet, this does bring up a problem that i have been circling around and not really been able to come up with a good thought on it yet. Nothing will stop some one from buying Reaktor load the ens for the UL and then selling them with a small amount of modification if they even do that. Hum...In the post above the mandatory upload to the UL that can not be deleted it is the record of your creation it is a copy right. This is a difficult area but for what I am seeing in the other programs is that this doesn't happen often. I know one guy ripped off the example synth straight out of SM preset and all. They change the skin that is all. That is really low. I don't imagine that people that are up on freeware and I can't imagine what would happen if a dumby like that posted to KVR and tried to pass it off as his.

Perhaps there is no way to avoid a catch 22 as I was trying to think about with the example of Zootooks Synth-in-a-Case but it would be wrong to halt the evolution of Reaktor in a format that is current and competative because of a catch-22 in my theory that is already there anyway in the current system. If they really want it Phil they will get it and the UL is no real protection its just a false comfort zone for the builders if tht is the real concern and reason for its existance.

but I am not been bashful about wanting a level of protection for the work we do nor I have I suggested that there is not benefit to getting Reaktor. There is and I think I am maintaining that in my suggestions.
    ---
Going out on a limb here in free thought - could be dangerous to my purpose in this thread.

    Phil,

If the Acid Bee was a plugin it would be a hit. Its a really good instrument. What we got there is really cool. I would so much like to have this as a plugin that I can distribute. Why? I am a builder whatever that is worth what do I get out of it? The knowledge that it is being used, that it makes music. That is the reward. Not the dumb vote in the UL woohoo it is such a tiny little mark and so irrelavant.

If it was a plugin, image the downloads. People would actually be using it and making music. They want more. I can't imagine that that would be a bad thing getting all that attention for Reaktor, can you?

    Ok lets imagine...

Its a plugin now it has thousands of downloads. Luca is part of the UL and doesn't want it that way or has his own vision of it. So he dls it from the UL makes his mod and does what he needs to with it.

    Heres reality...

Search this out, why does no one care about it even though I just found out yesterday that it had been posted to KVR. Because no one but us can us it so it so it is obsolete to the music community and holds no wieght, its the cold shoulder. Its fate was it is ignored and recieved no attention so also for Reaktor. Now how can that be good or healthy for the future of Reaktor?

How did I find out about SM? I dl a freeware instrument and searched for how it was created now I am serious about SM. Why> because I can export it as a plugin.

There maybe bad grammer and spelling here but there is no confusion. My idea works.

I hope the intent behind all this is clear phil? I am really into Reaktor but I need more form it not just in programming, it just need to get with the times and understand what we are doing with it and what is is good for. It can't hold me captive to a live stand-alone format because NI doesn't want to fix the damn thing, and I have to believe that because the problem it not fixed in all these years. My fear as you said above this should have happen 3 years ago. Question, "Is it to late to revive the patiant doctor?"
