New "Jump to current track" action takes a long time and it looks as if it weren't working

I have assigned a hotkey to "Jump to current track" in the browser list. This works well enough SOMETIMES. but under certain conditions, I get a long time during which the interface does not let me know that it is doing something, and it just looks like the function does not work. The browser list looks like this while it is searching:

    upload_2021-10-26_13-52-6.png

The status bar just says "Ready..."

Under some circumstances, it will even be necessary to click on the Track Collection in either the browser tree or the Favorites before Traktor will show the populated browser list in the correct position, centering the current track. Until then, it looks like the command just doesn't work!

Here's one of the paths to strange behavior that I can reliably replicate (there are others):

    (0. assign a hotkey to "Jump to current track")
    1. in the Browser Tree, open the Track Collection, open the Genres list, pick a genre and load a track from the list into a deck
    2. click on the Track Collection so that the whole collection is displayed in the Browser
    3. invoke "Jump to current track"

Interestingly, the behavior seems to differ based on whether Traktor has focus when it finds the track. it will NOT go there and you have to click Track Collection again if it has focus. It will jump there directly (after a little while, however long it takes to find the track in the list) if it doesn't have focus.

edited to add: it is ambiguous what the "current track" is, since more than one track could be playing, and in the status bar there could be an entirely different track name that's not even loaded into any deck

edited again to add: it's worth mentioning circumstances under which Jump to current track works as expected. if instead of from a Genre list, i load a track from the History, Jump to current track is instantaneous and bug-free, I don't even have to click on Track Collection, it just works right.
