    Hi

I am an experianced DJ but new with the Behringer BCD3000.

I have had numerous problems with this over the last few weeks. Ive decided either I must be doing something wrong, or something is broken. And this is the best place I am going to find out hopefully.

    Right, let me explain.

The first night I tried using the BCD3000 was with the version of traktor3 LE that came with the controller (3.3.0 i think.)

Occasionally, this would freeze up after about 2 hours. The program wouldnt crash, but the animation of the music moving across the screen would get stuck, the music would die and I look like a twit.

I updated the software, and I had the same problem with 3.3.1

Today, I created a new partition on my laptop and installed a fresh copy of WinXP on there. I stripped out everything that isnt 100% essential to its operation. I put on the best most recent drivers for chipset, audio, video and wired lan only, and I have been using that all day (with no crashing so far, the test happens in 3 hours when I start work)

But now, every so often (about once every 90 seconds) the mp3 im playing will skip forward about 50ms. It sounds really crap and I am disapointed. Plus, none of the LED's on the BCD3000 are working any more. The functions of the buttons themselves are fine, but the lights saying if they are on or off do not work.

I am highly unimpressed so far. Could somebody please offer me a solution.

My laptop is a Dell Vostro 1000

    CPU :AMD X2 2.0GHz
    RAM : 1gb (256Mb shared to graphics)
    OS : Windows XP

Still no luck and no differance. In the meantime I have gone back to using Mixxx to work from my laptop.

From my understanding though the freezing up software is a known issue. Any idea on a fix ?

Yes. I have stripped every single uneccessary process and piece of software out of the install. This was a brand new fresh install that has only had Drivers, Firefox, and the BCD3000 software installed. The Wireless drivers have not been installed. There may be a few things still running that can be stripped out that I am not aware can be. But I can assure you I have no firewall, antivirus, or any unecessary windows processes running.

I will try the process you have detailed above and report back when I have a result.
