Interesting ideas - how do you imagine the hardware side of things working to add these new features?

 

im with you on the vsti plugs on the drop down fx slots,

but for vst's , they should fit in on the actual browser , so you can browse fully with controller, but instead of select sounds you select a vsti on a sound slot.

 

yes, another category under sounds, called plugins, then we can tag them in with the other columns = DOPENESS and my life complete lol

 

Well if I was NI and I loved you guys I would look at what alot of companies are doing like Novatino with "Automap" or M-Audio with the "Axiom" use those 11 knobs and let one of those F1/F2 buttons toggle it on and off when you are using a VST. I doubt they would do it though because it would probably make them have to change the controller editor. But what I would like to see that I think is very possible is the entire browser area integrated with the controller including disk. If they actually granted my wish then you would be able to select your vsti and vst from the controller itself.

 

Nice one - I like it! But what do you mean above? What disk are you referring to? (Sorry if there I'm missing something really obvious here - I have a tendency to do that!)

Yeah exactly. I hope the Dev team isn't working on bugs. I hope they have special people for knocking out bugs. I want some vsti/timestretch action and the offline plugin processing would be nice if you have a special pitchshift/timestrech plug that you like. By far my favorite pitchshift/timestretch software is Soundforge 10. I hope they use that algorithm or whatever Sony did to make elastic timestretch sound like it does. I do like the features of ableton time n pitch but I just don't like the way it sounds. The ways that you can warp audio in Logic is amazing also and it sounds good.

 

I'd like to see a record to grid feature implemented. I often find myself sequencing my songs inside maschine by duplicating scenes. It's frustrating at times however because I will change one note in a sequence but it will affect the other patterns as well. I wish you could record into a grid in maschine that was separated by each group. It would be great for recording live track mutes, adding breaks, and capturing an editable performance. Recording into the Daw is alright, but if you could record your performance to a grid you could edit it later without having to duplicate patterns, or in a daw edit audio.

 

I like the tweaks. I would add that i would like to be able to change the size of each of the windows inside of machine so i can see more of the grid etc.
