Just A Thought

If Steinberg has streaming technology for the Halion, why can't you all have it for Kontakt? If nothing else, if necessary I'm sure you all can lease the technology from Tascam or even Steinberg and charge us extra cash for an upgrade. Thanks

P.S. If in fact you all do decide to truly make this the most powerful sampler ever by adding this technology, please make sure you all incorporate the key switch features that are found in Gigastudio. I think Steinberg made a huge mistake when they failed to do this, this is actually what makes the gigasamples so special IMHO. Again, Thanks.

 

OK, I have to admit, I'm not overwhelmingly interested in Gigasample libraries per se. But, I am highly interested in specific libraries such as Dan Dean Solo Strings and a couple of others. The good news is that I just found out that they are converting this library over to Akai format(beautiful!!).

Therefore, as has been mentioned previously, it may not be as problematic because many Giga libraries are being converted over to Akai. But, from what we all know through basic logic, there will have to be somewhat of a compromise in quality and/or features.

I still feel that if it is possible that you all should offer some sort of option for hard disk streaming. The importance of this is so that we can have all of the features of Kontakt and Gigasampler in a consolidated, VST environment, which simply isn't being offered by Halion(features) nor Gigastudio(plug in). Of course if this is not reasonable or possible, I am in complete understanding. Thanks.
