Did you run Reaktor in standalone before you used it as a plug-in in Live?

unfortunatley not. but im reinstalling reaktor now. i did run it as standalone after though, but still nothing in the factory tab. and all my folders in documents like ensambles are empty as well.. :S

feels very wierd since installing komplete 8 ultimate is just one single process with this harddrive i got.

edit: reinstalled, started as standolone first, still nothing. what did i do wrong?

    appreciate all help btw.

guys im serious, i dont know what to do. ive looked inside the harddrive that came with komplete 8 ultimate, but theres no library or anything to import from there. feels like k8u installed everything and all the libraries that came with the other synths except for reaktor. im starting to worry that other things are missing as well. though i checked massive etc and it seemed fine to me... but still. i need help, have nothing to go on since im new in the world of komplete...

Do a search on your HDD for .ens files - they may have been installed somewhere else & you will need to set the path manually in Reaktor preferences.

Otherwise, you'll probably need to contact NI Support.

Edit: i take it back, now all the core cells, macros, ensambles, instruments and macros are in there. but the LIBRARY is still missing wtf?

    Similar problem here,

I've installed Komplete 8 Ultimate yesterday (April Friday the 13th) on Windows 7 64 bits using those folders:

    Programs:
    C:\Program files\Native Instruments
(my Windows is in french so it shows as "C:\Programmes\Native instruments" in Explorer)

    VSTs :
    C:\Programmes\Vstplugins (Program Files\Vstplugins)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Vstplugins

some of the 32 bits VSTs installed in

    C:\Programmes\Vstplugins\32 bits

    Contents:
    E:\Samples\Native Instruments\Sample Libraries

I've downloaded and run the updates from the Service Center but when I tried to update Reaktor, it reported that it could not update the Libraries because of invalid location.

I went to check my E:\ folders and the only folders I found for Reaktor were:
    E:\Samples\Native Instruments\Sample Libraries\Prism

    and E:\Samples\Native Instruments\Sample Libraries\Spark R2

I ran Reaktor went to Preferences|Directories and it showed the different directories being in:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Native Instruments\Reaktor 5\Libraries

There are no such folders on my system; so I look around and found the folders in:
    C:\Utilisateurs\*my name*\Mes documents\Native Instruments\Reaktor 5\Library\*and 11 folders* but they were empty.

    Then I created E:\Samples\Native Instruments\Sample Libraries\Reaktor 5 Library and copied the 11 folders from C:\User\...etc. plus I created a "User" directory in the "E:\...\Reaktor 5 Library" folder

I run Reaktor, went to Preferences|Directories and pointed to the corresponding directories in my newly created folders. When I choosed the user folder, the program recreated the 11 folders from Documents inside the E:\...\Reaktor 5 Library\User, I accepted the changes and quit Reaktor.

I ran the update again and it still told me that my library folder was invalid and wouldn't install the library.

The update file is over 500 MB and there doesn't seem to be a Reaktor library on the Ultimate hard disk.

So where the Reaktor library is supposed to be and why the update doesn't accept my locations

    TIA

I've contacted tech support after posting and today I did some more test and it seems that the Factory library is now working and I reported back to tech support; here is the new massage I've just sent them if it can help someone else:

    MESSAGE TO TECH SUPPORT:

    OK, issue resolved (sort of...)

I uninstalled Reaktor 5 from the Control panel and reinstalled it with the Ultimate hard drive. I reactivated through Service Center. When I ran it (5.6.1) the library was there and working so I exited and ran the updater (5.6.2), it reported that my library location was invalid and to set the preference to the right path, so I cancelled the update process. Then I opened Windows Explorer, and found the library in "C:\Programmes\Native Instrument\Reaktor 5\Library", I copied that folder in "E:\Samples\Native Instruments\Sample libraries\Reaktor 5 Library". Then I ran Reaktor (5.6.1) again and I set the Factory Library path to "E:\Samples\Native Instruments\Sample libraries\Reaktor 5 Library\Library" and the library was still there and working. I quit Reaktor, went in Windows Explorer and renamed the library folder in "C:\Programmes\Native Instrument\Reaktor 5\" to "Librar". I ran Reaktor again and everything was working (from "E:").

I then ran the updater again and it still reported that my library path was invalid and it wouldn't update it. I went ahead and updated the program and the VST.

When I ran Reaktor (5.6.2) after the update the Factory library was not there anymore. I went to Preference|Directories and the Factory library path was changed back to "C:\Program files\Native Instrument\Reaktor 5\Library" (remember I've renamed that folder to "Librar"), so I changed the path to "E:\Samples\Native Instruments\Sample libraries\Reaktor 5 Library\Library" and the Factory library reappeared and the ensembles I tried seemed to be working. I then renamed the "Librar" folder in "C:" back to "Library" and pointed the Preferences back to there ("C:\Program files\Native Instrument\Reaktor 5\Library") and everything seems to work either from "C:" or from "E:".

The problem is really with the updater which refuses to update the Factory library but erases it in the update process. This time it didn't erased it because I had renamed the folder. I am a little worried that I can get some bugs in the future because some files have been updated in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Native Instruments\Shared Content\Sounds\Reaktor 5" but the library itself in "C:\Programmes\Native Instrument\Reaktor 5\Library" has not been updated.

END OF MESSAGE TO TECH SUPPORT

I think I am having the same issue with Komplete 8 installer or the update placing Reaktor 5 content Library on my C: drive instead of on my external hard disk F: drive where all my other instrument libraries are installed (including Prism and Spark). I've sent a request to Tech Support for a solution to getting the Library to the correct drive, but havn't had a reply from them yet. Did you ever get a reply from them about this problem?

    Library on external drive?

Any update from NI regarding migrating your Reaktor Library over to your external drive?
