just updated kontakt and maschine and now no kontakt libary will work.

    ive updated both and they were working fine before but now none of my kontakt libararys work they show up but wont load.
    ive ran kontakt in standalone and loaded each libaray and it still wont work.
    i also cant find my updated kontakt 5 dll file in cubase its showing the old one but not the new one and ive searched my hardrive and instsall folders and no new dll file is present and i cant redownload kontakt 5 to try and reinstall it..any help?thanks

    What exactly happens when you try to load. Error message?
    Operating system version?
    You can download Kontakt from NI's website and install it. When you do be sure you give the correct file paths for plugins etc.

    Yes, you can download Kontakt 5 from your account. They have moved things on the site so you won't get to the updates downloads under the K10/11 category as it just tells you to use Native access. Instead, choose the option for Maschine and "legacy" products. This is confusing and they should certainly change this since native access has no way to download updates once it thinks it is already installed.

    theres something seriouslly fukkked up happening ..my hardware controllers been fine but now ive updated it looks dead if i pull out the usb cable and plug it back in the colours all flash up for a split second then it all goes black and i cant choose any hardware options within maschine 2.

    Change USB slots.
    Using original Maschine cables.
    Update drivers and firmware.
    Reboot!

    Leave unplugged and update manually again. Make sure to tick the option to install the driver. Then reboot before plugging back in. If you can't find the latest Maschine update file, try downloading the latest controller editor and do the same with the reboot.

    Looking at the release notes I see:

    The database will be empty after updating to 5.6; a manual “Reset and Rescan” is required

    ive had to uninstall and reinstall a few times now to get it back but now its messed up my audio interface ..my computers just updated too im wondering if a new windows update has messed this upto too..thanks for your help much appreciated ill crack on and try fix my soundcard now..

    also has anyone also updated kontakt?ive updated it and its not installed any new dll file so in cubase its still only showing the older version and maschine wont let me play any kontakt add on or kontakt because its missing from my 64 folder but it was there up until i updated it..that new mative access must be at fault somewere its messed up my updates and its also taking up a ton of harddrive space somewere too and its not updating properlly..any help thanks

    If Cubase isn't picking up the correct DLL you haven't given the Kontakt installer the correct plugin folder location for Cubase to pick up (don't expect it to happen automagically), or you need to tell Cubase where the DLL is installed (give it an additional file path for plugins). Or cubase is looking at two Kontakt DLL's (old and new) because a DLL was manually copied somewhere (bad thing to do) or it's pointing to two file paths with Kontakt in it.

    There is no way Kontakt could mess up your audio interface, it's a totally separate layer in Windows. Check your device settings in Kontakt.
    If you are convinced there's a problem try uninstalling your drivers/rebooting/reinstalling the latest driver (and update your audio interfaces firmware).

    Oh I would install Kontakt manually if I were you (download and run) btw.
    I totally would avoid beta software (Native Access).

    ive got my controller and audio working now i think its deffinatlly a update conflict somewere..im on windows 10 and windows updated it self also yesterday and its messed a ton of stuff up mainly my music programs.
    ive also been trying and trying too get kontakt 5.6 working but i cant its working fine in standalone but maschine/cubase 8.5 arnt playing ball.ive also tried getting a seperate kontakt 5.6 installer without using native access but its not in my account all my software in my account is only downloadable and able to install if i use native access but native access doesnt give me a option to direct were the dll files should go and too me it looks like there not installing at all because im doing a full system scan and its only finding my kontakt 5.5 dll file and when it loads up in cubase its the old version not the new one...

    anyone got a link were i can get the new installers from please?thanks

    ive checked that before i posed ,mate..mine doesnt show kontakt..it shows all my maschine expansions/kore 2...but only shows komplete 8--plus expansions but not the actual kontakt download or update...

    its taken me ages but i think ive got it working..i had to totally unlinstall kontakt 5 and because i couldnt get the updated installer i had to grab my k10 ultimate harddrive find the seperate installer on there..install it then run it then i had to start native access click on the update icon which downloaded the update but it couldnt install because i was already running kontakt 5 ..i then found the downloaded update on my computer unrared it then moved the installer to another drive then i quit kontakt 5 then installed the update and now its updated and installed the correct dll files were they should be..

    native acess is also messed up same as service center its saying ive not got the newest versions of all my fx plugins but i have if i click on update it shows ive updated but once i start native access again they pop up again saying there not updated ..its annoying and its been going on for months.

    Native access has it's own path in it's preferences where it installs the plugin .dll. This is unrelated to any custom path you had previously in service center as well as unrelated to any path you have in Maschine. It is up to the user to line all the install paths up in Maschine, plugin manual installers and Native access. Unfortunately, Native access has no method to troubleshoot this or even recognize the discrepancy. On top of that, it provides no way for you to download the update installer and run it manually once an install has completed. It's great for when everything is in perfect order ahead of time, but totally useless in the all to common case that your paths are not all set correctly or mismatch. The fact that NI obscured the link to manually download your installer is not helping either.

    i could give you a big hug b-rightous..i didnt know theyd put them in the legacy part i didnt see your post before im really sorry about that.
    the logical place to have them would be in your actual my products page not the legacy page thats confusing..i hope native can sort that out and native access needs tweakin too itd be handy if itd just allow you to access all your downloads and everything including your account all from that one program.
    just checked also there is a windows update that has messed up some peoples pcs it causes a conflict between the audio driver and graphic driver thats exactlly what i had.im on win 10 and cant turn of auto updates you can only do that with the pro version not the consumer version.i hope evrythings good now ..thanks again everyone for your help i owe you all a big drink :)
