    Hello.
    I just bought K10U and have some questions.

    I only have a 55gb SSD with my OS on. I've read that the installation will take up 60GB on the system drive (temp.) even if you install on the harddrive that comes with Ultimate.

    I would hate to go out and spend money just because of 5gb so if I install my OS on one of my old harddrives, install K10U on the external harddrive and activate it will it mess up if I change back to the SSD afterwards?

    Best regards.

    You can choose the install location or move the libraries either during installation or at a later point. Most of the disk space is used by the Battery and Kontakt Libraries ...

    Another option is to select and install the included products one by one (and not all at the same time).

    As a side note:
    • The K10U-install-harddrive is only intended to be used as install medium (like the install DVDs in K10 'standard') and not for using it as install location for Komplete as well.
    • You should always have enough free disk space left on your main hard drive in general.

    Hello MattKi and welcome to the forum.
    (a) Do not install the libraries onto the supplied disc drive; that is only intended to be the source of the libraries for installation (and as a back-up if you need it later).
    (b) I think that you can install the software onto one disk, the libraries onto another, then move the libraries later on; but, from what you have said you will need another disk drive, at least, temporarily.

    Have a look at the Knowledge-base articles here;

    Well I'll be..
    I thought you were suppossed to install on the external harddrive. That was important information so thank you.
    Thank you, both of you. I know what to do :)
