Using Kontakt 2.1 as an instrument plug-in in Protools HD 7.1cs6 on Mac OSX 10.4.3, dual 2GHz G5 with 1GB RAM; this is in a sound-for-film session with about 35 audio tracks playing off firewire drives; trying to record a Kontakt sample with two instruments played from KX88 through Command|8 MIDI i/o to PT, the audio has rhythmix glitches that correlate to a tiny flash in the CPU bar graph in the Kontakt window; if I mute one of the two instruments the recording is clean.

This should hardly tax this system; what's going on - anyone?

    thanks

I'm getting similiar "artifacts" in Digital Performer 4.61 on a 1.25 G4 with 2 Gigs of RAM. The CPU shows very low usage with only a short, sharp spike (too fast to even see on DP's CPU indicator) that seems to correspond to the audio "glitch".

I don't know if this is related, but I'm getting a pumping sound, like I'm riding the mod wheel. I can't even work. This is happening across the board with K2 VSl libs and imported libs. No automation, volume or expression is used, but any note just seems to swell up and down like I'm pushing a volume or expression controller.
I can upload some sd2 files so you can hear what this sounds like. It doesn't seem to happen as regularly at low or high velocity ranges, but always at the mid range.
    This is with K2.1 on PT 6.9.1 TDM HD1 G4 Dual 1 gig w/2g Ram OS 10.3.8
There's no spikes in the CPU meter when this happens however. This wasn't happening with K2 2.0.2. Any info would be appreciated.
I should also note that any command given to ProTools since upgrading to 2.1, pauses with the spinning ball before execution, which also wasn't happening with 2.0.2. Trashed prefs, dae, digidatabases, repaired permissions, etc, to no avail.

Just thought I'd post back to say that my problems went away after I took an instance (the only one) of RMX out of the session. I was only using a few RMX sounds, instead of click, for time. Rebuilt the session with RMX in, as it was before and no problems as previously reported. The only thing I did different was to instantiate K2 before RMX. Weird!!
So it didn't seem to be K2.1, but it was so strange to get that pumping sound from every instrument I added to K2. Anyone have any idea what could've caused this?
