    Hi All,

I'm enjoying K3 but I get the following message every time I open it

Attention - "locking memory does not seem to work properly" saying this will compromise peformance - it also tells me to check if I am an administrator - which I am.

Any ideas. I'm on xp sp 2, dual core AMD 2 gig ram is standalone mode

My Akoustic piano will also not start as it says it "can not load the default configuration"

All this is after I loded K5.

    Cheers

    Brett

I had the same problem with akoustik piano - i sorted it out by downloading and installing the akoustik piano update from komplete 4. the reason this happens is that the komplete 5 installer does not install the presets for akoustik piano.

I routinely get the same message, when I open a second stand-alone instance of K2. It doesn't seem to have any practical implications, though.

correct, this I also had a few times (opening a second stand alone version of Kontakt)
More annoying is that after a crash of kontakt, the program quits but is still running (you see it if you type Ctrl-Alt-Del and check the list of running processes. Killing the 'Kontak.exe' precess does not remove it... Also the amount of virtual memory assigned to the DFD is not set free, which is more troublesome).
If you then try to restart Kontakt, you get the message. I am not sure if the message really does not have practicle implications, at least you have double the amount of DFD memory assigned to Kontakt !

I've had this too, but found that it does go away after some time, 5mins or so, then you can restart without problems.

Yeah it seems to be a double open instance problem - don't know why two were opening when I clicked the icon but it seems better now..

A reinstall of Acoustic Piano also made that work OK

    Thanks All
