I have just purchased a Komplete Audio 6 interface for my new iMac, but was told by the sales rep in store that the unit will probably not work with the new Apple OS X Mavericks (10.9)?

Can anyone confirm whether this is the case or not? I am prepared to wait for updated drivers from NI, but cannot seem to get a timescale on when an update is likely to be released?

OK, so contacting NI for support is getting me nowhere? No info on their website, and no response from support requests :-/

Come on NI, a simple yes/no would suffice.

I'm having ZERO luck getting an answer to this myself. Someone here with a KA6 must have migrated.

    Here is the answer:

Hi there. Can someone confirm whether or not current Mac driver 1.0.8 for **KOMPLETE AUDIO 6** will work with OSX 10.9? Sorry for the intrusion and thanks a bunch!

I'm still trying to have komplete audio 6 to work as intended under OS X 10.9. After a few minutes the sound starts to get distorted, chopping and skipping. My guess it's merely drivers for 10.9 which is needed - hopefully NI can get these out ASAP. Unfortunately NI doesn't have a good reputation for dishing out drivers when needed...

I'm having the exact same issue!

Komplete Audio 6 with OSX 10.9; random distorted audio. Switching from AI to onboard and back solves the issue temporarily. Frustrating to say the least.

Just to be clear I've ensured all drivers/firmware are up-to-date. Created a support ticket as well and awaiting some feedback.

    I now miss Mountain Lion.........

This sounds more like a latency issue.

There are tons of people out there with the same problem as we have. :(

Please do tell how to change or alter the latency issue with OS X, 'cause I've spent the last two weeks trying to find a software to do that. Since nothing with Native Instruments software doesn't work with 10.9, there isn't a way to alter any settings regarding the issue.

The only real way to affect latency in 10.9 would be to try different sampling rates in audio midi settings. I've given this a try and nothing seems to help. If it was a latency issue, I would think it would be more consistent rather than random.

Same occur for me, it's not random at all, it's only a matter of time before it happens. Neither does it help to change the sampling on the long run.

driver extremely buggy, I am trying to stop the pops and clicks if I change the sample rate from midi settings it distorts abelton live and get the slow motion sound , change it up I get the speedy jack , its a total mess and really unusable as it is. Driver is not USB 3 compatible no way for it to work as it is anyone home ????

Tech support is not even replying on e-mails, neither answering any threads on the forums...

... I posted in the wrong thread - now again:

I have switched from Line 6 to NI, due to driver problems with Mountain Lion.
Now I have stopped my Mavericks Update-Plan.

    NI Support:
"Native Instruments has conducted compatibility tests with Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks which have shown current NI software products to work without any specific issues under standard installations of this operating system. "
    http://www.native-instruments.com/en...compatibility/

What are the experiences from other users?

Their compatibility charts are bullshit, to be as gentle as possible. Just read through the forums regarding issues with Mavericks - and you'll see. I'm still waiting for tech replies which now are more than four weeks old. Kinda lame for a company that focus on high-end audio hardware.

Sorry to hear you're having the same issue. I've been around the block with NI Tech Support, tried all of their recommendations, made sure everything was updated, powered correctly (even tried a powered USB hub). Nothing helped.

Here's to hoping that the drivers are updated soon to accommodate the new OSX!

I Just thought I'd let everyone know that I've reverted back to 10.8 (Mountain Lion) and my Komplete Audio 6 is functioning normally.

Definitely a compatibility issue with Mavericks......

Time to get back to recording!

Thanks for the information - so I will stay at Mountain Lion! I hope that NI will do their homework.
