Ive only had my traktor scratch a few days and ive been mostly happy with the way it works until tonight i noticed that the key lock function seems to make some tracks sound really fuzzy and distoted, with kind of clipping audio drop outs. deffinately not good enough for playin in a club. Have other people found this? Is there any way of fixing my problem? Also I find when i pick up the needle when its half way through a track and put it to the start, it jitters and plays a section of the track for a split second. Not cool man. Makes your shiz sound digital, and bein a vinyl junkie movin to digital is startin to make me nervous!

This has been discussed so many times on this forum. Use the search button.

You'll find that the next release of Traktor Pro will include an updated timecode algorithm to fix this problem. No real fix except to play without key lock for the meantime.

Try using ECO mode; this is currently the best mode to use with timecode, until the HiQ mode is properly implemented in the next update.

The jitter is a small section of audio from the middle of the track that Traktor plays before it realizes that the needle has been moved to a different part the track. It is inevitable, the alternative is to have Traktor mute the track whenever the vinyl is stopped or needle lifted until it next decodes where the needle is. Which could have implications for scratching.

Just make sure your fader is down for the split second the needle is down, before the track starts. Not sure why you'd be playing to the house at that point anyway, unless you are doing crazy rewinds?
