Key lock problem!

I don´t know if its just me or is this a problem for everybody?


Take Deadmau5 track "Ghost n Stuff". Loops the first 8´s. Have the bpm
in 128, thats Ghost n Stuff original tempo. Everything sounds normal. But
if you have the "key lock" ON and switch the tempo to 130 bpm, you will
hear that the kick sometimes gets another sound if you know what I
mean. Just like it cuts away some of the kick.

This does not happen if the key lock is OFF.



Anyone have an explanation for that?

 

What are your key lock settings? System specifications? If you're on HiQ, take it down to Eco and give it another try.

 

I just tryed that, and that did not help. You got more suggestions?

 

What are your system specs though? Can you post them up?

 

Macbook Pro 2,2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM

 

I used to have a similar setup but it was gone before TSP - I had upgraded the RAM to 4GB though. Still, should be more than enough. Do you have phase meter turned on? If you turn it off, does it help?

A couple more questions:
- have you got any apps running besides Traktor, such as Dashboard?
- have you disabled wifi and bluetooth?
- what format is the file in?
- is your music stored locally or on an external drive?

 

wait until 1.2. comes out and you problem should be gone...

 

Thanx for taking your time TeLLy. I will try the things you said. But what is your Key Lock Range? Do you have this at +/-30% or set to Always?

Currently using Always. I really should try stepping it down; by the time I add a 4th effect to a 4th deck, even my Macbook Pro starts wheezing.
