Keyboard doesn't work in Kore 2 Plugin

I am having the same issue, load kore 2 2.04 with any vst or au.

when the loaded plugin UI is open keyboard commands are stolen.

transport does not work, I have recreated this in garageband 08, energy XT 2, and live 7.

same issue persists on Mac Pro and an old G4 Mac

 

That's weird, Matt. As far as I know, the Live issue's supposed to be Windows only (and an Ableton issue).

Flavor of OSX? I presume you're some variety of Leopard...

this is happening on an old G4 (Tiger 10.4.11) as well as a mac pro intel running leopard 10.5.6

I can confirm the same issue in Logic 8.02 using Intel Mac Pro 10.56

the only difference is by clicking the kore panel brings back keyboard control, but with any plugin UI open key control is lost.

this is the same in kontakt, my guess is NI products need an option to stop stealing keyboard focus in hosts.

 

bump, can someone please confirm this is added to the bug fix list please.

 

I sent an e-mail requesting that it be added. I can't personally add it; the bugtracking system's system/OS specific as to what I can submit as a new bug, and I'm on Windows.

cheers eric, I did have a dialogue with support but it seems to have diminished.

backspace must not be used in kore 2 browser with Ableton Live

when I use backspace to delete a character in the browser search window, Live deletes the kore plug-in instance instead. As one can imagine, this is annoying.
I wonder when we'll get the "capture keyboard from host - yes/no" option in kore 2 that kontakt player already has got for years.

workaround for the "device deleted by typing backspace" problem: use shift+backspace in the browser window when renaming a koresound.

if you use Plogue's Bidule as a VST/VSTi inside your host, then you can load Kore inside. It works fine this way

 

My problem is that when I have Kore 2 FX loaded in Cubase 5 and I want to add Reaktor to my Kore patch. When I open Reaktor I can't type in anything. Anybody know how to fix this?
