    when the snapshot browser is selected you can use the up/down arrow keys

    And the snapshot browser can be selected with F6. Or one of the Fn keys.

    For making your own elaborate shortcuts, I highly, highly recommend AutoHotKey. Dietrich Pank made a brilliant suite of keyboard shortcuts for Reaktor (http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40957&highlight=autohotkey). I investigated the program and it turns out to be feasible for ordinary humans to make scripts for themselves, too. I'm using it with Live. You can almost do anything.
