keyboard won't control volume on B4 or Akoustik

I'm getting a bit desperate and hope someone can help. I use B4 and Akoustik P. Just bought a studiologic vmk-161 organ...this is not the same as the vkm161 plus. Studiologic has no tech support at all and i can't get the device to control volume with my pedal. any advice would be very, very much appreciated. and i run Sonar 6 producer. I've already returned other controllers that were inadequate and this one says it can do everything i need it to do, but i can't get it to work.
