Are there plans to release a new s25 version of the komplete kontrol keyboard?

Doesn't seem likely considering mkII has more buttons, might be problematic to fit in S25 dimensions without requiring changes to PCBs (which can be expensive).

So the S49 will be the smallest newer Komplete Kontrol Keyboard?

None of us know for sure dude.

The most popular sizes on the market are 49/61 key versions which is why you see so many models. I would say the 88 keys would be 3rd popular and the 25 would be last. People only normally want 25 for portability or space concerns as 2 octaves is quite limiting.

Funny, I was eye-ing the s25 as well... now that it's not being available as mk2 option, looks like I need to look for alternatives... and 49/61 keys aren't the one...

I wouldn't suggest they will "Not" be available, just that they are probably the least desirable option in a lineup and the comment by EvilDragon is something to consider if you look at the layout of the controls they take up 3 octaves of space on the keyboard so squeezing all that into a tiny 2 octave footprint would be a challenge.

An updated 25 would work for me. I dont have much space to play in.

Yes, a 25 or 37 key version include a cover would be really nice.

It may look pretty goofy. Imagine...25 keys with two big screens....maybe someone can do a photoshop mockup to visualize it better.

I could imagine a desktop module with no keys...more encoders maybe.

The images of k49 looking like a k37 is the smallest version without the need of change the interface design. A k37 would work for me too.

Rough mockup of a 37 key version....I'm into a 25 if they could do it, but 37, I dunno, may as well go with the 49.

I thought you altered the size of the displays too but only moved in the right edge, actually looks good and real. Though not clear the light-guide mapping for F-F#-G (kidding) :D

I'd go with the 37 version if they do it, but 25 keys ideally.

It can't happen because of all the extra controls.

I think NI needs to come up with a 25 keys similar to the ROLI keys concept, thin, light, portable, customizable... after all 25 keys is meant to be... portable... I can live with using the computer display... but flexible functionality... priceless
