    Hi
When I use my KK s49 MK2 in midi mode and is controlling a Plug in in Logic the mapped parameter in the plugin jumps to the value that the encoder is at - the KK sends absolute value to the plugin.
Is that normal behaviour or am I missing something. I think I should just pickup the value and continue from there up og down?

Possibly a setting in Logic? There is nothing in the MIDI Assignment editor to control this and I am pretty sure that would be handled by the Software that is being controlled.

    Peace,

Pretty sure that’s normal. The KK keyboards are absolute in MIDI not incremental.

Not true. My a49 now has the ability to set the encoders to Relative mode using the new firmware update from a couple of weeks ago, and the new version of Komplete Kontrol (2.3.0). Midi Assignment Editor can change the encoders. The S series keyboard can also change the encoders to Relative using Controller Editor. The software you are using would have to be set up to use relative mode to work properly. Just today I got VCV Rack to work using Relative Mode encoders from my a49, no more jumping controls.

Check the 2.3.0 version of the Komplete Kontrol manual, page 70 (9.7.2 Assignments for Knobs) for details.

Ah, yeah wasn't sure for the MK2 as opposed to the A/M series where they were fixed to relative. I'm still on an MK1 which does have the ability but that is in Control Editor and not within the KK software which was initially very limited in what it offered for CC control.

    Hi
I can't find the 2.3.0 manual for Komplete Kontrol anywhere so I can't check the manual.
But I do have the choise og 3 modes ( Absolute, Relative and Relstiave (offset) but i both of the reletive modes the value jumpls from 0 to 30 in one step.
If I set it to Reletaiv I'v got an extra parameter called step this shoud be the step that the value jumpes so setting it to 1 shoud be ok but the it dosent move the paramete in fx. omnisphere. I the thanel a 2. paramete called resolution shoud alto be pressent but it isen't.
    Have just updatet to 2.3.0

I don't think Omnisphere supports relative mode encoders. Arturia and VCV Rack are the only software I have that does support relative. If the software (Omnisphere in your case) doesn't have a way in the midi mapping function to set the control to be relative, then it won't work. You could purchase JesterMgee's NKS Preset Library for Omnisphere and run Omnisphere inside the Komplete Kontrol software, that is how I use Omnisphere (follow the link in his above reply). He has all the controls mapped, and they don't jump because it runs inside Komplete Kontrol.
