    Hey

I have spent 7 hours - yes wasted the whole day ... trying to get the pedals to work

    Roland DP 10

I have followed every solution on the internet

    Argh

Using it both stand along and in Studio One

    Updated it

    Etc

... it's so annoying as in Kontakt the sustain pedals work

In KK it seems to do the master volume or the first on the bottom left , of the right hand screen on the keyboard

I've lost the will to live

Anyone able to tell me I'm being thick and the answer is ???

    Help or abuse welcome

    Thanks

    J x

After opening S1, open KK standalone as well. Just to be sure, you opened your pedal map in KK standalone and it looks like this? Oddly, I had to manually set it to CC 64 when i set mine up.

You should be plugged into pedal B for sustain pedal and set it up on the "Pedal B" tab. Some pedals seem to require "invert" to be on like mine does. You should calibrate as well. While calibrating, you can see it working in S1 as well.

    Thanks for your help

I did have a try and tried everything as I think you mentioned it

Alas - I can see in SO the sustain going 0 to 100 ... still it's the bottom left knob that is being changed in KK - so CC14

    I just don't get it

I have fiddled and changed everything - I have used both pedal a and b

    Gah

    Thanks for the help though

May help if you open KK standalone and post the settings you have for your pedal (screenshot). Should really just be a case of setting it to the correct parameter to control which for sustain/damper would be CC64

    Thanks

I have tried it on various settings - and have a Roland D10 plugged into both A and B

And as I said it works - perfectly on Kontakt

Just KK in SO it doesn't - though SO sees the pedal as being the sustain peadal... alas KK sees it as CC14

Hi, i have exactly the same problem since a week. The sustain pedal seems to be configured in KK to CC14. Sustain is working fine in all other software app's like Kontakt. Did you solve this issue?

    I got no solution

I just use Kontakt in Studio One

As KK doesn't seem to work [sustain pedal]

It's a shame as I would much rather have the fully functioning KK in play

I am Studio One 4 Pro [the last update before SO 5] if that maybe the cause???? Did we get left behind

I'm using Cubase 10.5 and did not have any issues in my projects until about a week/2 weeks ago. Loaded some old projects and all KK instances have the same problem now. Sustain is not working, but triggering the wrong CC. So it has to be something in Komplete.
I also rather use KK in stead of Kontakt, so i'll do some more searching.

I will let you know if i find something.
Hopefully some other readers know a fix for this issue!

    Well - just to repeat

Although it's triggering the wrong CC

In Studio One it SAYS it's actually doing the sustain pedal

So according to SO the correct CC [64] is being triggered - while at the same time it's actually triggering the wrong one CC14

That's why I thought it was a SO only glitch

I found a fix for the problem:

    1) Load Komplete Kontrol
    2) Disconnect physically your KK S88 Mk2 (or any model you got) by removing the USB cable.
    3) As soon as ou disconnect it, a new MIDI tab appears in Komplete Kontrol Software. Click on it.
    4) What appears now is the part of Komplete Kontrol to assign any controller you got, to control the Knob 1 to 8 of the software.... You will see some knobs with assigments. In my case there where 3 knobs assigned.
    5) Simply click on the cross at top right of the (virtual) 1st knob, to delete that assignment.
    6) Repeat the process for the other knobs, just in case....
    7) Plug back your KK S88 Mk2
    8) It works !!!!
