Kompakt Sony Acid does not load

I'm new to NI I purchased Sony Acid Pro 6 with Kompakt I had a very hard time getting registered and still I can not access the mix console or the samples. I have not gotten any reply to my question from the"support" group so I hoped to get some insights from this form. I can not see me purchasing any other product from NI if this is an example of how they work
I did not see anyone else on the form that had a similar problem however if you have any suggestions that might get me up and running I would appreciate it

 

I had huge problems loading all of the Sony Media Software products I bought on the system I installed the NI suite on. I spent hours and hours combing this forum and the SOny forums. Called tech support at SOny and they had no idea what the problems were caused by. Very frustrating.
Anytime I tried to start the sony products it would hang as it tried to read the VST plugins associated with NI. Just hang and hang and hang and I would ultimately have to reboot the system to recover. It really irked me that there was this conflict.
I found some help with the sony suite issues as they manifestedd themselves on another machine with no NI installed.
The not loading problem manifested itself in the the Vegas product line on a Vista system. While not directly related to NI in this instance, I think you may find the following can provide a little insight into what may be the root cause of the issues.

I ultimately decided to use my laptop strictly as a host for virtual synths etc... and not worry about integrating it into my mixing systems. I just go ahead and record my synths into another system and then do all the editing on the record box. Not much help to folks looking to use MIDI I realize....

 

I'm using Sony Acid Pro 6 on Win XP and have no problems. The only problem was to register, because the Sony Kompakt version doesn't register with the new registration tool.
And I don't use the media manager (see other post).
Could you explain the problem in more detail? I just don't understand what you mean with: "I can not access the mix console" since the mixer is an integrated part of Acid and by default not an extra application or window.

I got a responce to my earlier post and was asked the question about the mix consol I said I could not acces.
On the back of the Sony box and on Kompakts web blog shows a mix consol with a piano key board that I expected would allow me to access the wav samples. The problem I have with the software is that the only thing that showed on my computer after loading and after a week of trying to register(which I did) was a "help", Native web,and a register Icon.No wavs no consol or anything. I could find the wavs in a search for the nks files but nothing would open them even when I asigned them to the sony acid pro.
I have Acid Mucic, Acid Music Studio and Now Acid Pro 6 on my computer
I would like to see what Kompakt is all about and use it but this seems like to much trouble

Although I am still not quite sure what your problem is, maybe this helps, i don't know: The Kompakt version that comes with acid pro 6 is NOT a standalone version. It installs as a VST plugin and you have to set the proper vst plugin path in acid under options. Then you create a new midi track and assign a "new softsynth" then you can choose Kompakt. Then you select view plugin and when you select this track you get the green Kompakt screen.
