    Evening all!

I was trying to find any threads connected with my problem, but unfortunately decided to post my own.

I have stumbled upon an error during the KOMPLETE 4 Install. I believe this one is not too rare:

    Welcome :)

It's just what it says. You have to be logged on to your machine on an account with admin rights to install. The typical XP user account DOES NOT have admin rights unless you set it up that way during your OS install.

Well.. actually this one is with Admin rights. Like you said it was assigned during OS install. Moreover, i tried to log with admin account in the safe mode.. and the same problem persists. :((
And the last thing.. i made all the possible permissions for this folder before install for my account.. and the same problem :(

    Hi Sunfusion,

actually the typical XP account HAS admin rights until you change this, so you probably have a more complicated problem on your computer.

You said that you login to your account in "safe mode". In this case it might be that you get limited rights in your account, but when logging in normally, this should not happen.

Do you have some more information regarding your computer? Do you maybe have installed two system partitions (multi boot system) or do you know of anything else which could be different from other computers?

Hello, Thomaskis. I have got your question.. but well, this one was sooo long time ago :S
As i'm trying to recollect, i have made what i posted there - i mean reinstalled my OS (WinXP) from the scratch. Clean installation almost always solves the problem, unless you have enough space to backup your stuff ;)

    Best regards, sun.
