Komplete 5 Install issues.

Hi,

First off when things are to good to be true they usually are. I purchased Komplete 5 and am beginning to go mentally insane.

My first problem has been the following.... I recently moved from pc to mac and i have no doubt this was a correct move but things are a little confusing for an experienced pc user. This Probably isnt helping to be honest.....

When installing komplete 5 i placed the sample libraries on my internal storage drive this is somewhere i have installed all my samples. The following are installed on this drive. Akoustic piano library - incomplete ( more on this in a mo)
Battery 3 yay
eletrik piano not sure if this works or not
Kontakt 3 ummmmm

The following are missing massive absynth guitar rig 3 Reaktor 5 Pro 53.... Are these libraries not able to install on a seprate hardrive i understand the biggest libraries are kontakt 3 and battery 3 why have the others not installed on my storage drive ?

During the install one of my disks seems to be buggered. steingraber says please insert the main installer disk in order to install the content of this dvd. I tried to eject the steingraeber dvd, but nothing happened. What should i do ?

Another major problem has been the instruments i have sucessfully loaded seem to work in stand alone mode. However When i insert them on the logic channel they load up and i see the midi master volume moving but i cant here any sounds at all ? the samples are obviously in there but no sound ?What the hell is going on here ?

I am contacting the shop today i purchased this from. Maybe they can help ni have taken over 4 days to get back to me now. Komplete ? nothing komplete about it this is one major pain inthe arse.

Welcome =)

Absynth's sample library you can move after the fact; be sure to change the path in your Absynth options menu.
Guitar Rig doesn't use samples; the factory library's just component presets and banks. With all the GR banks, etc. I have, the library's only 14.5 MB. Is that really an issue? And no- don't move them.
Reaktor- you can change the locations after the fact in Reaktor's preferences.

No sound as a plugin- check your output routing for that channel. Is it what you think it is?

Am not a novice by any stretch of course i have checked the output routing for the channel. you smarmy git lol.
Anyway i appreciate the reply however this major issue is not addressed. Its interesting that another member had this issue, maybe there was a set dispatched that were faulty. mine was purchased from Digital Village.

This might not help, but on Windows XP I would run into trouble with the Komplete 5 DVDs if I hit the "OK" button before the Operating System had finished recognizing the disc.

For example, the routine would go as follows:
1. Finish installing something, get window asking to insert "Steingraber DVD"
2. Would put DVD in drive, then go to Windows Explorer and make sure I could "see" the DVD and its real name (i.e. my "D drive" changes from "DVD-RAM drive D" to "Steingraber D".
3. Only after I was sure the OS had finished reading the drive would I then click on "OK" in the install window.

One thing to test would be to see if the OS can read the Steingraber DVD outside of the Komplete 5 install. For example see if you can insert the DVD and browse a few files.

 

Komplete 5 Install issues... error message

I am currently re-installing Komplete 5 on my Mac and I'm having one of the same issues the OP described.

On two occasions, during the installation of 2 different product discs, (once during Battery install & once during Kontakt) here's what happened: Installation was cut short and I received an error message saying: "Please use the main installer disc to install the contents of this dvd." At the same time the dialog popped up telling me to insert the next DVD to continue installation.

At this point I'm near the end of Komplete 5 installation, and I don't know what's going to happen. Will it give me instructions to go back and install the missing data? Or will it just continue without it? Most importantly, will Battery, Kontakt, & all the other instruments even be usable? Or will I have to re-install everything?

Okay just finished and it says "Installation was successful." No mention of anything that failed to install, missing samples, etc. Very frustrating.

I'm glad it looks to be OK. When you got the error message what steps did you take that resulted in a successful installation?

Well, the installation was not successful. (Even though that's what the Installer said...)

First time I tried to use Akoustik Piano here is the Error I get:


P.S. I tried contacting Native Instruments "Customer Service" but have yet to get a response. This is my first time dealing with their customer service, so I will be making my decisions about their quality of service towards their customers based on this.
