Komplete 5 / Installer error

    Hello,

    I'm having difficulty again in installing Komplete 5 after reformatting my Mac.

    ------
    Power Mac G5 - Dual Processor
    4 Gig Ram
    OSX 10.5.8
    ------

    Cubase 4. something

    ------

    The installation appeared not to work correctly as several products didn't instal.

    I've tried the Leopard Installer Patch and I get an error (see attached).

    Any suggestions .. ?

    Hi TeaBoy,

    Komplete 5 does NOT require the Leopard installer patch, so this should not be used.

    Especially if you are on an offline computer this is a known issue which has been fixed with Service center 2. Therefore, I recommend to download and install SC 2 from here:

    http://www.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=freeupdates

    Then you should be able to activate Komplete 5 including all products. If you really have an installation issue of the kind that some products are really not installed under "Applications", please contact our technical support.

    Well ... the Service Centre downloaded the Leopard installer patch - which is why I ran it? I thought this was the purpose of the Service Centre?

    The installer patch then asked me for a disk called Electric Piano - well there is no such disc?

    So after stopping the installation, I've now downloaded the Service Centre 2 from the link you sent me.

    It now suggests 10 updates? I hope this works as so far I've wasted nearly two days on what should have been a straight forward procedure.


    NI really does need to improve some of these simple processes.

    Hi TeaBoy,

    sorry for the hassle you have with the K5 installation. Leopard was released after Komplete 5, so due to changes in the OSX operating system, this issue was introduced. However, if your computer is connected with the Internet, Service Center should update itself and therefore, automatically fix the issue.

    Now I've used Service Centre 2 .. I seem to have everything I should have installed

    However, should I have patches showing on the below?

    Nothing in Absynth 4 folder?
    Nothing in FM8 folder

    Hi TeaBoy,

    didn't you get a message saying that the database is being rebuilt? After this message you should slowly get one patch after the other. The whol preset scan might run several minutes on slower computers. If you diod not try it, please start both applications standalone and let them open for a couple of minutes.

    Yes I got the messages - I left the applications open but only the other folders populated with patches?

    Can someone tell me what directory route or folder these patches should in?

    I can then check to see if there actually there?

    I'd like to be able to complete the install of Komplete 5 within a week if possible?

    So its been a full 7 days and still no closer .. support has not responded to my emails?

    Has anyone got a tel number for support in Germany?

    Hi TeaBoy,

    I just replied to your open ticket. Form the pictures you provided in this thread it seems you did not click on the instruments folder which is a sub folder of the Absynth 4 folder.
