Komplete 7 Installation failed

    Update

    i did receive few days ago the link for the file via internet. it did work but only after I connected myself with ethernet because the file is 6Go.

    I used the manual install like I did for the other disks.

    Me too,AAGH!

    Same same here everybody, Disc B is dodgy and I've been waiting 3 weeks for my copy to get to Australia from the States. I definitely think we should be compensated in some way by Native Instruments, they are a massive company and this is not a cheap piece of software. No wonder everyone's cracking programs!

    Here's something interesting. In searching for those with similar problems/workarounds, I found a heap of people that have had the exact same problem with Kontakt Disc B in both versions 5 & 6 of Komplete. I'll be taking this up with NI, it's absolutely ridiculous that this keeps happening. I would struggle to ever work in the industry again if I was constantly deliver tracks to my clients that repeatedly failed to work and cost them time and money.

    what EXACTLY should i uncheck to skip kontakt 4 disc b? i heard orchestral content but that's a little vague

    so i found a quick way to get around this while waiting for replacement for corrupt content on Kontakt 4 disc B.

    i used the instructions earlier in the thread to create a disc image. i opened the disc image and of the 3 installation files, it let me use 1. so now i'm just missing the two folders that won't open. its not the whole disc that's corrupt for me, just 2 of the three folders.

    i've then gone back into the installer and you can see what disc each component requires by pressing continue, the installer will tell you which discs to insert. i clicked on each component and then hit continue to see if it used Kontakt 4 disc B (the disc that was hanging my installation) and if i did i just unchecked it.

    now waiting on replacement disc or DL from NI, but SUPER STOKED to have it up and running finally!

    I am in the same Kontakt 4 Disc B failing to install as well.
    So frustrating to have bought this product new and yet not be able to install it. Waiting on tech support to answer my question as well. So is the final conclusion that we received a bad disc? I tried to install from the disc image as well and that failed. Is there a link to a download, or do I have to wait to see if they will send me a disc? I have to say, I have never bought software with this much headache to install. I am shocked there isn't a big notice on this page from NI to all users helping them out with this. It seems like a huge error to me.

    I'm on a brand new intel imac
    Pro Tools 8.04
    Mbox 3rd gen.

    Im having a similar problem Im trying to install Komplete 7 and I keep getting an error message "Error cannont read disks" it gives me the option to ignore which does nothing or to eject. I already call and recieved my replacement disks and the same problem keeps happening. This is really frustrating! I even downloaded the installer patch but it doesnt help becuase my laptop cannot read the disks

    I agree with kerouacgal, there should definitely be a notice on the NI website explaining the fault and what customers should do.
    As for you lyricsbeatsissa, it sounds like your replacement disk is corrupt as well. I'm still waiting for my replacement disk and I won't be happy if it's faulty as well.
    Bottom line, NI quality control and customer support is terrible!

    So very frustrating. Having the same issues with Kontakt 4 Disk B. Anyone have any way to solve this problem. How long has it taken NI to get new disks to you?

    I need help i downloaded the Komplete 7 demo and i cant even run it.I to want to buy this software but when do you think the next batch will be realised so i dont get kontact4 being troublesome?

    NI got back to me. (I purchased on Saturday morning and they got back to me on Monday - I don't think there's tech support on weekends). There were 2 fixes. 1. Order the replacement for the 1 Kontakt 4B dvd... (takes at least a week) and/or 2. download the disk contents by following a link that they provide. I choose #2 as well as ordering the physical disk. It took a few hours to download the 6gb worth of data but it worked fine.
    I like to start right away with new toys so the whole experience was frustrating but nonetheless works perfectly now.

    so I did exactly what slybass described. My next question is can I authorize the rest of Komplete before I have those sample packs?

    I can live without those samples for a while and just stick to reaktor or something for now but I don't want to use my authorization code/serial number or whatever in case it nullifies it when I try to register those last few packs.

    I would think so. I'm not an expert but it doesn't seem that you'll loose some authorizations by doing that.

    Komplete 7 Battery 3 Disc A

    I just purchased Komplete 7 this week. I went to install on 2009 iMac v.10.5.8 and had the following issue:

    Installation disc worked fine however when I loaded the first required disc "Battery 3 Disc A" it would not recognize and kicked out (it spun in the drive for a few seconds before kicking out). Unfortunately I had to abort the install. I called the retailer I purchased K7 from and they will replace. Has anyone else run into the Battery 3 Disc A not installing?

    On a quasi - related issue, when I trashed the app files for K7 I accidentally trashed the control editor for my Maschine - it still works however will it be a problem not having the control editor?

    Ok I'm waiting for NI to respond to my Support ticket it's been since Saturday that I've encountered my Kontakt 4 A disc not loading and etc. I did what slybass3000 said and manually loaded my remaining library sounds disc. Can someone post the link to the Kontakt 4 A Orchestra sounds download? So I can get this long install process over with.

    If you have a ticket, I think they will send you the link to download the file. But be aware, it is a big file to download. For me, I had to connect my computer on the ethernet port to be able to get the file because the wireless network was not fast enough. I know a lot of people weren't too happy about this problem but I should admit that the NI support team solved it pretty fast.

    Same issue here with Komplete 6 on a new iMac, installation fails at disk 1.
    I runned drive check and it shows no errors. I made a disk image but installation from that fails also :(

    Emailed support, hope to get a solution quick.

    One more very irritated first customer to add to the list. This is absolutely ridiculous. What a waste of about 3 hours... They should put a huge topic about this when you first go to the support page. When you guys downloaded the kontakt disc b image did you reinstall the whole package from start to finish?
