Komplete 8 Crossgrade won't activate! HELP!

    My Komplete 8 crossgrade arrived today. I spent hours installing it only to get an error when trying to activate through the NI service center. I got error 203- the serial number you are trying to use is for bundled software...which doesn't make sense. The Komplete 8 is bundled software...so it seems like an issue with NI service center. Anyone else having problems? Can anyone recommend a solution. This is terribly frustrating having spent the cash on this collection and not being able to use it! Not good NI!

    I will tell you in about an hour when I finish installing my Komplete 8 Crossgrade and try and activate it.

    Although I'm a little worried about my Komplete 8, as it had two seals on one side of the box, and the one underneath had been cut/split. So I hope no one has knicked my serial from the box and resealed it lol

    As an FYI...I just finished installed the crossgrade and did not have any issues activating the software. Like you said, the problem you are having doesn't make sense. The only thing I can think of that might help is to make sure you don't have any updates to Service Center that need to be installed. I'm sorry I can't help further. Good luck to you.

    Yours does have the big yellow and red sticker on the front of the box saying "Crossgrade?

    Mines still installing lol

    Thanks for the tip. I'm running the latest NI Service Center (2.3). I uninstalled and reinstalled that to make sure. My luck, it's a problem with my serial that I'll have to wait til Monday at the earliest to get resolution for. NI needs to staff more support during times of launch so that these types of things can get resolved. Can't have folks waiting days to activate their product due to lack of support - especially a product at this price point!

    Whagi - Yes- the box has the large crossgrade sticker on the front.

    in NI Service Center- I show all the bundled products installed. I see the EDIT option for KOMPLETE 8 to edit the serial - which I've stared at and reyped about 5 times so far without luck. I have quite a few other legacy products installed and I'm wondering if that might be causing an issue? (i.e- old Kontakt players, previous verision of Guitar Rig, etc)

    I had issues to begin with as well.

    Are there any other products listed needing serial numbers, mine had komplete 4 listed. I deleted the serial for komplete 4 and it then worked.

    Sorry for not getting back sooner, but I have been playing with Komplete 8 since I installed it. I had no issues activating my Crossgrade version, I crossgraded from my Maschine.

    This is my first Komplete, and I am in awe at it, it is stunning, so much to play with and some awesome sounds. Cant wait to get using them in combination with Mashine and then all into Logic Studio. :O)

    Hope you get your activation issue sorted soon.

    Glad you guys are up and running on this. Looks like this is just an issue with my serial. I'm sure with the US holiday on Monday I'll be waiting a few days before I can break the chains of DEMO mode! This is driving me MAD! I'm going to have some words with NI over this. Not the way you support the launch of your flagship product.

    RESOLVED!

    Boy am I embarassed! Ok- here's what the problem was. I didn't have a "qualified product" (Komplete 8 Crossgrade Eligble) registered on my Service Center Account. As a result, I was getting error 203.

    I had purchased the Komplete Crossgrade under the assumption my version of Guitar Rig 4.0 Pro was a qualified product. Unfortunately, it was not! I ordered my crossgrade when it was announced about a month ago and I missed the part where it stated Guitar Rig must include RIG Control.

    I'm very pleased to see that NI resolved this one quickly for me. Instead of me having to pay hundreds more for buying a qualified product, I was able to pay the difference between the full Komplete 8 and Crossgrade, since the boxed content is the same. They updated my serial and I was able to register without a problem!

    crappy! I installed my upgrade to Komplete 8 on a new clean installation of Windows 7. I'm assuming K8 wanted me to install my K6 first. I just went straight to K8 because I didn't want to spend an entire day installing ****. I hope they get back to me and resolve this. As I really don't want to have to sit here and install K6.

    I just did the same thing, but even more silly. I just ordered the cross grade accidentally. I dont have any qualifying products. I need the full version.

    I bought my copy from a dealer online. Do you think NI will help me in the same way? That way i can just install from the box i have and then update the serial online through NI ?
