    The HOST application should be the only limitation for VST/VSTi performance, not the system OS. Please let me decide if I want to run the plugins on XP, or not, NI! At least provide us a way to install the latest versions at our own risk! PLEASE! I hate to abandon NI plugins, but I guess I have no other choice... (see my previous reply to gasface for why I use XP).

    well, I still use the mda plugins which were released back on 1997, and they run on every version of windows and mac I can think of. Some of them actually sound better than most commercial plugins.

    My guess is that most sofware out there has too many bells and whistles like pretty interfaces or an advanced preset system which most users don't use...
