    Hi,

This is my first post on this forum, and I want to say hello to everyone :)

I have question about cinematic sounds included in Komplete 8 Ultimate.
I can find any info about complete sounds of orchestra in this program. I mean brass, orchestra persussions, choir, all this amazing stuff. All I can see is Session Strings Pro and Evolve Mutations. As I know EM has included presets of some orchsetra percussion, but in pressets.
I wonder can I build whole orchestra sounds on the Komplete 8 Ultimate?

Sorry for my english, still learn.

    Best for you,
    Kataryniarz

Hello, and welcome to the forum!

Kontakt's factory library has a good selection of orchestral instruments, so I think you should be able to start with that. Session Strings Pro is not really a cinematic string sound that you need, it's a lot drier and brighter, more suited for pop, R&B and similar productions.

Thank you for a quick request.

I have free version of Kontakt 5 and there are no orchestra sounds. If I buy Komplete 8 the Factory library will be completed by new sounds, for exemple the orchestra's, I'm right?

    Hello again!

    I have one more question.
I wonder if most of sounds are ready samples, or you can design your own sounds. From what I hear, the Evolve Mutations mostly have done samples.
I want good tool for realistic sound, but not the sampler.
Can you tell me how it is?

Kontakt is the sampler, other instruments in Komplete are pure synths. I mean, you can "design your own sound" with all included programs in Komplete, so I don't get what's bothering you :)

Evolve Mutations is a set of instruments/kits for Kontakt. Kontakt is a full-featured sampler where you can design your own instruments. It even has a scripting language so you can design very sophisticated instruments that go way beyond simply playing samples when you press a key.

If you get Komplete 8 Ultimate, it includes 30 Kontakt expansions, in addition to the Kontakt factory library. There's a little bit of everything.

If a sampler's not enough and you're interested in designing your own synths, Komplete also includes Reaktor, where you can build basically anything you want.

I´m late to the party, but... to be honest, I am very much underwhelmed by the quality of orchestral sounds included in Komplete8.

While working on a score of the musical, I´ve tried to like and use them, however even some romplers or older VIs like "Hypersonic" have more convincing sounds. It would be good if Native Instruments could revisit the included orchestral sounds.

I ended up buying EastWest Orchestral libraries (EW is still running a 2-for-1 promo which gives you one package free) - and they are amazing and worth the money.

I fully recommend getting the Spitfire Orchestral libraries for a decent cinematic experience. They run from Kontakt 5.

    I have another question.
I buy Komplete 8 and it requires some free disc space. I choose another partition for it, not with the system.
But it isntall also on the partition C, in the Common Files directory for example.
How many disc space I need on the partition C?

In Common Files there are mostly user patches and some other data (databases, etc.)

I'd say it's ok to save up to a gigabyte for all that data.

Maybe it is the language difference but I get the impression that Kataryniarz still does not have an accurate idea of what Komplete Ultimate offers.

I don't think Kataryniarz has defined what they want to do and what their skill level is so it has not been described how that matches what can be done with Komplete Ultimate. Maybe something designed for a niche like Evolve (not Mutations) is a better match. Everything in Evolve can be done using Ultimate with enough skill and knowledge yet does Kataryniarz have the skill, knowledge, time and tools to do it with Ultimate?

I hate to see someone invest this much before they are very clear it is what they are looking for.

    Well o0Ampy0o,

thank you my friend for your concern, but I carefully checked the offer in terms of what I'm interested in. Also read the Evolve offer by Heavyocity, but use of ready-made samples, often the entire sequence does not interest me. I'm looking for some fresh sounds and ideas. I found that Komplete 8 is enough for me. Already it gives great opportunities. Having more ready-made samples, or multiple drum kits and ready music loops of some organs legends this is not what I'm looking for.

And my friend, if someone is dedicating his money for something it's his business.
Peace and a lot of creativity.

I could not just let it happen as their business. I'd rather attempt to help them before it is too late.

    It's nice.
I received your earlier post as an attack, especially:
"I hate to see someone invest this much before they are very clear it is what they are looking for"
But if you have good intention I appreciate it.

That was an honest description of what I feel. The opposite of an attack, it was reaching out to help.

Good luck with your projects.
